Such a relaxing atmosphere! We have rented from VRBO the last six years and this was the cleanest house. Many areas to get away and great yard for your four babies. Definitely recommend!
Very comfortable and well appointed house overlooking scenic views of sunsets on the water from our deck. The house was well equipped from the kitchen, bedrooms and baths ensuring you had all you would need as if you were home. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog to enjoy the outdoors and the short walk to the ocean turned into a pleasant ritual for our family. Lastly the lobster pound where you can relax on the waterfront with cooked lobsters and fixings were minutes away along with great restaurants overlooking the harbor near by made the vacation more special. This was a great homebase to explore by walks nearby and to drive to the larger scenic towns as well. I'd highly recommend a stay at this property.
This was our third visit to this property. The house is magnificent, it has every amenity that you could ever want to include a ping pong table in the basement and a pool table in the garage attic. The kitchen is fully stocked and the grounds are magnificent, especially the fire pit and the backyard deck that overlooks the water. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat to take your family and get away from your hectic life, the Chauncey Creek home the place for you
Our family of 5 and two small dogs had an excellent stay. The short walk to the beach was a plus and we even brought the pups two nights after 5pm. They used the fenced yard daily without issue. Loved the screened in porch. We also enjoyed a quick trip to a local berry farm and Portsmouth for our last dinner (The Thirsty Moose). The washer dryer on site was greatly appreciated and used. We would definitely recommend.
This was our fifth year staying at this house. I would highly recommend it! It's a beautiful and quiet location with easy access to the beach and a tidal river. It is comfortable. I cannot think of a better way to spend my vacation.
This was our second Thanksgiving at Chauncey Creek, and we hope to have many more! Lucy and David's house is beautiful--the perfect place to relax and gather with family and friends. The location is magical, the house very much feels like home, and Lucy and David are warm and welcoming hosts. Five stars doesn't do Chauncey Creek justice; it deserves more!

Great location and very comfortable house! We loved having the creek in our backyard and being so close to beaches and everything else. Communication with Lucy was great. We can’t wait to come back!
Had a great stay, enjoyed the rowboat out in the water and being able to watch the tides.

We consider quitting our jobs and Maine’s squatters rights every time vacation ends and it’s time to leave the Chauncey Creek house. We love the house, location and vibe. Can’t wait to be back next year.
We had a wonderful stay visiting nearby family in Portsmouth during the Christmas holiday. We loved exploring the beautiful island, and the house had everything we needed for 4 adults, 2 kids, and a dog. The host was amazingly available/communicative. Would stay again!
We took our kids and golden to stay for four days at this beautiful house. The yard was perfect, the kitchen has everything you need, and the house was just stunning.
Loved our stay in this quiet, peaceful and homey vrbo. So many nice touches- wine in the fridge, hotel collection bathrobes, beautiful landscaping and views of the water. Loved seeing all the egrets, blue heron and wild turkeys. Thank you fir a wonderful stay.
This home was a wonderful home base after going on a hike that surrounded you with comfort and attention to the details from having everything you need in the kitchen to sitting back on the deck relaxing with your favorite beverage.Everything in this home showed attention to comfort and quality of every element of your stay.
