We enjoy spending time here ourselves and have furnished the villa to feel comfortable, relaxed and easy to live in rather than purely as a rental. Burgau is a traditional fishing village with a real sense of character, set between dramatic coastal scenery and beautiful beaches. We love that everything is within easy walking distance – the beach, cafés, bakery and excellent restaurants – yet the village still feels quiet and unspoilt. The location on the edge of the Costa Vicentina Natural Park offers wonderful coastal walks and easy access to other Algarve beaches, while Lagos is just a short drive away.
We love Burgau for its relaxed village feel and excellent food scene. Everything is within easy walking distance, from lazy lunches at the beach bar to relaxed evening dining at Esquina or Miam, both firm favourites of ours.
