About this property

Architectural Gem in the Heart of Rockport Village

WATERS EDGE COTTAGE

Centrally located in the charming and historic village of Rockport, this modern cottage designed by a well known, national interior designer. The cottage is filled with thoughtful details that will provide our guests with a distinctive and luxurious get away as you explore the beautiful state of Maine.

Perched besides the tidal Goose Neck River and overlooking beautiful Rockport Harbor, our guests will enjoy exceptional views from the upper and lower porches as well from the primary bedroom and living room. We are a short walk away from two wonderful restaurants, 18 Central and Nina June as well as the charming coffee house, Seafolk. Were minutes away, by car, from Camden and Rockland, with their fantastic shops, galleries and restaurants. Take a stroll down to the working harbor to see lobster boats in operation and view the preserved lime kilns, which Rockport was famous for historically. During the summer, the harbor is especially busy with sailing and power boats. Grab a towel and your bathing suit and brave the chilly but refreshing water where you can swim down at the harbor beach near the harbor master. On chillier evenings, our guests can enjoy our outdoor fire pit. We also provide our guests with an outdoor propane BBQ. We request that our guests do not use the upstairs fireplace.

Enjoy walks around beautiful Beauchamp Point or nearby Beech Hill, where you can enjoy some of the most stunning views in the area. We are also minutes away, by car, from scenic, Lake Megunticook, Norton and Hosmer Ponds as well as Camden Hills State Park. Day trips can include drives to Belfast, Stockton Springs, Blue Hill, Stonington and even Mt Desert Island and Acadia National Park, as well as many other beautiful locations.

The cottage features two comfortable queen beds, perfect for a restful night. Guests will enjoy a full private bath on the second level, which includes a shower and deep soaking tub as well as a sizable vanity and bidet toilet. The secondary bedroom on the first floor has a smaller half bath/ powder room.

Our bedrooms include quality bed linens and our bathrooms also include quality towels. For our guests who enjoy cooking at home, the kitchen is fully equipped with full cookware, a Miele cooktop, Viking range, Miele 18" wide dishwasher, undercounter microwave and a 24" wide Liebehr refrigerator. We also have a car charger for EV's and hybrids located in the garage.

Our goal is to provide our guests with a truly unique and memorable experience. So please let our property manager know if there is anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable. This was the most charming cottage, beautifully decorated, and very clean. The two balconies overlook a rushing tidal river and a lovely view of Rockport Harbour only a five minute walk away! We walked to the restaurants and shops in sweet and historic Rockport. There is even parking for a couple of cars!Camden is less than a ten minute drive. Michael, our host, was gracious and easy to communicate with. I'd book this place again in a heartbeat!Susan, Rural Virginia
