This was one of the most disappointing booking experiences I have had. I reserved this property for two nights, but upon arrival, I immediately noticed a strong cat odor throughout the unit. There were numerous candles placed around the apartment, which appeared to be an attempt to mask the smell rather than address the issue itself.In addition, the kitchen was unclean and in need of proper disinfecting; the kitchen floor was visibly worn. Due to the overall condition of the apartment, I did not stay even one night. I contacted the owner immediately to explain my concerns and informed them that I would not be remaining at the property.I was also uncomfortable with the overall sense of safety in the area and the unit itself. Several nearby homes had bars on the windows, and the apartment’s window air conditioning units were covered only with plastic protectors that could easily be removed, creating a potential security concern.I would strongly encourage the owners to invest more attention into the cleanliness, maintenance, and security of the property.
