We are long time Studio City residents, now empty nesters who designed and built the Modern Bird's Nest above our current home as a someday retirement crash pad. With that in mind, we were mindful to maximize the privacy and separation of the unit from the main home with minimal overlap. As a result, we often don't even run into Guests staying in the Nest. But, we're here if you need us, but invisible if you don't.

Why they chose this property

Studio City is the hippest town in the San Fernando Valley with excellent dining options, trendy shopping, upscale grocery stores & tons of yoga/pilates studios. We are close to all the major studios and top LA attractions (Universal Studios, the Hollywood Bowl, Runyun Canyon, etc.). In 2006, we landed here for the excellent schools which contribute to its friendly sense of community but are staying here for the awesome amenities & charming neighborhood that have spoiled us.

What makes this property unique

The Modern Bird's Nest is equipped with everything we would need to live comfortably, therefore it has everything you might need. The elevated open space is filled with natural light and the treetop/mountain views from most windows give it a peaceful treehouse vibe.
