We enjoyed our stay here and the location is fantastic. This is one of the most well equipped homes we have stayed in. My only suggestions are to note in the listing that the interior staircase is very steep and may not be suitable for all guests. Also the upstairs does get warmer than downstairs so it would be great if the ceiling fans were operable. Currently they make a lot of noise when running. A floor fan in each room would be a great addition if the ceiling fans can’t be fixed. The host was very responsive and the home is beautiful and very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Thank you so much for your kind words—we’re really happy to hear you enjoyed the home and the location! 😊
We appreciate your helpful suggestions as well. Just to share, the ceiling fan works great when used the right way: please turn on the main light switch first, then pull one chain to start the fan, and use the other chain to turn the light on/off.
We also just installed a brand new AC today to better keep the upstairs cool for our summer guests, so it should feel much more comfortable moving forward.
And yes, you’re absolutely right, this is a classic older Minneapolis home, and steep stairs are very typical of this style. We’ll make sure to highlight that more clearly in our listing.
Thanks again for your thoughtful feedback, we’d love to host you again anytime!

Why they chose this property
The house is located in a safe and quiet Southeast Minneapolis neighborhood with a relaxed college-town vibe, this home offers easy access to nearby restaurants, cafés, and local hotspots. It’s also centrally located—putting you close to everything the Twin Cities has to offer.
What makes this property unique
The house itself is over 100 years old. Its style is old-fashioned, with narrow stairs and hallways. However, when we bought the home, we were drawn to how spacious it feels—especially compared to other houses in the area. It is well-maintained, cozy, and peaceful. We hope you make it your home during your stay.
