Key West is just like the Caribbean, always warm with lovely turquoise waters. It's a short walk to Mallory Square, Hemingway's Home, the Truman White House, Duval Street and Zachary Taylor Park ( do yoga on the beach, swim, snorkel, or hang hammocks between the palms). Walk to shops, restaurants, and museums. Enjoy coffee in the morning, relax by the pool, and sip wine at night in our private courtyard. 28 day minimum - if you can't stay that long, share with family and friends!

We are a retired couple living in Key West from January through May. We love the vibrant atmosphere, the galleries and museums, beaches and sunsets, music and cultural events there; that we can walk everywhere; that people are so happy there.

Why they chose this property

Living in the Shipyard puts you just a short walk to the Hemingway House, the Truman White House, the Lighthouse, Mallory Square and Duval Street, the Truman Waterfront and tons of excellent restaurants. And once you've left the excitement of Duval Street and Mallory Square, you can relax in the peace and quietude of the Truman Annex, a gated community with its own small park and swimming pool.

What makes this property unique

The condo is our home and offers some of the touches not usually found in most rentals. The garden in our courtyard is tended regularly and you'll find surprises: never sure what they'll be: sunscreen, bandaids, condiments, tons of books, games, and videos, sun hats and water shoes. No guarantees what you'll find because it changes regularly, but guaranteed surprises!
