This house was a beautiful time capsule of a ca. 1950's home! Lots of built-ins and the floorboards creaked just right. Loved the comfy couch and chairs in the living room. My own user error, but I didn't realize the other 2 bedrooms were upstairs in a reclaimed attic space. I have one smaller child who didn't feel comfortable sleeping alone up there, so we all did some switching around at bed time. Loved watching the rain chain in the back yard during the light rain!

Our family of six was very excited to spend a couple of nights in Forks. We are from Hawai'i so we are accustomed to high prices for just about everything, but the price we paid for the home we got was outrageous. From the moment we opened the door, the home had a terrible smell. Even with opened windows, there was a stench that was stuck in that house. The wifi and internet didn't work at all. We tried to watch live TV, but it wouldn't even load. We then tried to watch a movie on a streaming service, but it needed to buffer every 5 minutes or so. We gave up after the first 30 minutes. The house only has one bathroom, which took some planning with six of us, but we were prepared for it. What we were NOT prepared for, however, was the hot water running out during the first person's shower. We contacted the owners, who were responsive and came to the home within the hour. They couldn't find anything wrong with the water heater, so their solution was to offer us showers at the gym they owned two blocks away, and to take very short showers each. For the amount we paid for this place, it should be able to shower six people at the very least. I truly never write bad reviews, but every single one of the six of us who stayed at this place was sorely disappointed - not only by the home itself, but the greed behind the people who would charge what they did for such a property.

Aloha to your family. Thank you for your review. I am a bit shocked your story does not match ours… especially the shower solution… fyi we had no problems before or after you left from any of our guest. After you checked out…, we thoroughly checked out the hot water tank again. There is nothing wrong with it. We ran hot showers and hot water in the sink for 20 minutes and it was fine. I’m sorry that happened to you… besides offering you the gym showers, pool and anything else you wanted.. we said we would come back in the morning when you were out and test it throughly..when we messaged you for a time you said it was fine! As far as a stench….that was a far fetched comment…I can’t respond to that…it’s a beautiful clean older home! The WiFi works great.. The price is one of the cheaper Airbnbs in Forks!! I am sorry your family is so disappointed.. we are not greedy.. name calling is uncalled for.. you should be ashamed. I have had bad experiences in travel… but I would never stoop that low. You never reported any of this to us even though we spoke many times. Have a beautiful day… stay positive and happy!!
