Located just 2 miles south of Aurora and only a 5-minute walk to Long Point State Park, guests enjoy easy access to a public boat launch, swimming area, playground, picnic spaces, and stunning lake views.

This cozy cottage provides a truly unique experience with peaceful lake views out front and 22 acres of private wooded trails just behind the property—ideal for morning walks, nature lovers, and quiet escapes. It’s the perfect home base for exploring Finger Lakes wineries and breweries and is just minutes from The Inns of Aurora.

Inside, the cottage features two inviting bedrooms, each with a comfortable queen bed, and a bright bathroom with a refreshing shower. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals during your stay, and the home’s bright, open atmosphere creates a welcoming space to relax year-round with both heating and air conditioning. Strip any used beds and gather used towels

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish

Turn off the lights and lock the doors

Please gather all used towels and washcloths and leave them on the bathroom floor. Strip the beds, remove sheets, and place them on the bedroom floor. Be sure no dirty dishes are left in the sink.

Empty all garbage and recyclables into the outside containers located under the deck. Please ensure the outdoor grill is covered and place outdoor seat cushions in the storage bin if they are dry.

Turn off all lights, set the room temperature to 68 degrees, and securely lock the cottage before departing.

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Kishan is a courteous responsive host. Booking was confirmed promptly and message replies were timely. This is a cute cottage conveniently located near Long Point State Park (walking distance) and The Inns of Aurora (short drive to restaurant / spa). Also close to King Ferry Corner Store, a quaint shop for groceries / supplies / some local artisan items. Kitchen has dishes/cooking supplies necessary for meal prep and had a well-stocked pantry with cooking oil, spices, and some basic staples. There is a view of the lake from the cottage and the short walk down the path is pleasant with shore access that provides ample opportunity to enjoy the lake and launch the kayaks easily. The cottage is clean, cozy, and nicely decorated. We enjoyed our trip and hope to return someday.

We chose this neighborhood because it captures everything we love about the Finger Lakes—peaceful, welcoming, and deeply connected to nature and history. Aurora has a relaxed, small-town atmosphere where neighbors wave, visitors are greeted kindly, and there’s a true sense of community.
We also have family here, and this area holds a lot of personal meaning for us—we learned how to swim in Cayuga Lake as kids, which makes being near the water especially special. The lake is a constant presence and a beautiful backdrop year-round, with each season bringing something new to enjoy. We love the walkable charm, nearby wineries and breweries, and the way life here encourages you to slow down and savor your surroundings. It’s a place that truly feels like home.

The home itself is a cozy, well-equipped two-bedroom retreat—quiet, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The setting is beautiful and serene, making it easy to unplug and unwind. And to help guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive, every group is greeted with a complimentary bottle of local wine.
