Lovely, clean, well-appointed cabin with a great view and deck/porch. Dock and kayaking were great too! Host was very responsive and helpful. We didn't have a 4 wheel drive vehicle, but "snow mode" helped us get up the steep driveway successfully. It was a quick drive down to the New River Trail State Park (would not try to ride it, road is narrow, hilly, and windy).Overall a wonderful property!

The views are surreal. It’s like a new painting every morning and evening. Ver secluded which was awesome. Driveway is definitely steep. Make sure you have all-wheel or 4 wheel drive. I will definitely book this place again.

Gorgeous views

My young family (3 kids under 6) greatly enjoyed this beautiful cabin, amazing views from the deck, koi pond, fishing at the docks, and tons of wildlife. It was such a relaxing, secluded, and peaceful place!

Scenic Mountain Getaway

Our family had a wonderful time at the cabin. The view from the house is phenomenal - watching the sun set behind the mountains and lake was idyllic. The house was clean and welcoming, we felt right at home. We hope to be back again!

A very nice house to stay for the weekend, it was clean and had a wonderful view. Walking down to the river was not bad but I would recommend the host really fix up a trail/path down that hill. Kayaks were nice to use, fishing was fun, hot tub worked great, beds were comfy, couches were comfy, house was awesome!

Wonderful Time!

We really enjoyed staying at Lost Horizon. It was perfect for our time together as a family. The house was awesome and we loved it. The setting is the best. We really enjoyed going down to the dock and taking the canoe out several times. It was the perfect getaway for family time.

Beautiful, relaxing place - wish we could stay longer

Beautiful cabin with great views. Well kept and owner thought of many things that made it easy to enjoy. Had trouble getting access to canoes at dock but owner responded quickly so even with our short stay, we could use canoes before we left. Will look forward to coming back.

Bird Family Trip 2023

We love Lost Horizon! This was our 3rd time staying here and the cabin is just perfect. We used the fire pit to roast S’mores, and the charcoal grill for burgers & hot dogs! The kayak and canoe got a lot of use and we brought our fishing polls to fish off the dock!

Fantastic Getaway

This was an absolutely amazing trip! The views were wonderful and the home was fantastic. The attention to every detail was great. Very clean and nothing was overlooked - even the fall decorations were PERFECT.
