Frolic with family, friends and even Fido when you book your next beachside stay at The Dolphin Pod. This renovated oceanfront cottage combines classic coastal charm with modern conveniences and breathtaking views on Oak Island’s West Beach and accepts one dog per stay.

Enter into the gleaming kitchen, equipped with stainless steel appliances, including a deep farmhouse sink ideal for rinsing off fresh local produce or cleaning up the catch of the day. Everything you need to prepare and serve meals during your getaway is provided, and the bar-height wooden dining table sits at least six comfortably, with bench seating along one side providing extra flexibility.

The living room is drenched in natural light thanks to the pair of double French doors on the ocean facing wall. Settle on the dual sofas to watch the waves or stream your favorite movies and TV shows on the flat screen TV instead. The leather armchair and ottoman beckon you to curl up with a good beach read thanks to the thoughtfully positioned lamp.

The two full bathrooms are located to either side of the kitchen, and each is equipped with a step-in tile shower stall and hall access. The primary bedroom is furnished with a king bed and also offers a flat screen TV for personal entertainment. The remaining two bedrooms each provide a queen bed.

Outside, the oceanfront deck is partially covered and has a variety of seating available, including a high-top dining table with four chairs. Serve appetizers and cocktails al fresco as the sunset paints the sky in bold oranges, red and purples and the sea breeze plays through your hair. The deck is gated, so little ones or your fur baby can explore while the adults relax. When it’s time to hit the beach, access over the dunes is just a few feet away, and when the day’s adventures are done, the cold-water shower and hose are waiting for a quick rinse off to help keep the sand where it belongs!

Under the home you’ll find the utility room, which includes a full-size washer and dryer for your use, as well as covered parking for your vehicles and plenty of additional parking space in the gravel driveway. When you’re ready to explore the island, reach any of our Oak Island attractions including dining, shopping, nightlife, mini-golf and more in a short drive of five to fifteen minutes. Or drive westward to The Point for some of the most spectacular views and best shelling on the island. However you choose to spend your time, you’re sure to have a ball when you book your next getaway at The Dolphin Pod!
