About the host
Your host
I’m originally from Cleveland, Ohio, but for as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by New York City. I was drawn to its incredible history, diverse cultures, beautiful architecture, amazing food, and, of course, the energy that makes this city unlike anywhere else in the world. Eventually, that love for New York inspired me to make the move and call NYC home.
Living here has only made me appreciate the city more. There’s something special about stepping outside and knowing that around every corner there’s a new neighborhood to explore, a great restaurant to discover, an interesting person to meet, or a piece of history hiding in plain sight. I love everything from the excitement of Manhattan to a quiet walk through Central Park, discovering a tiny neighborhood café, or simply taking in the sights and sounds of everyday New York life.
That’s a big part of why hosting has become a dream of mine. I genuinely love the idea of welcoming people from around the country and the world and giving them a comfortable place to call home while they experience New York for themselves. Some guests may be visiting for the very first time, while others have been coming to NYC for years, but I want everyone who stays with me to feel welcomed, comfortable, and excited about their time here.
For me, hosting is about much more than simply providing a place to sleep. It’s about hospitality and helping create a great experience. I enjoy sharing recommendations, pointing guests toward neighborhood favorites, and helping them discover some of the things that made me fall in love with New York in the first place.
I feel incredibly fortunate to call this city home, and being able to share a little piece of it with my guests is truly a dream come true. I look forward to welcoming you to New York and hope you leave loving this amazing city as much as I do!
Why they chose this property
Harlem is one of New York City’s most vibrant, historic, and culturally rich neighborhoods—a place where the energy of NYC meets an incredible sense of history and community. From its beautiful brownstone-lined streets to its legendary music, art, food, and architecture, Harlem offers an authentic New York experience that’s hard to find anywhere else.
One of the best parts of staying here is having so much of the city right at your fingertips. Central Park is just a short walk away, giving you easy access to one of the world’s most famous parks for a morning stroll, bike ride, picnic, or simply a peaceful break from the excitement of the city. You’ll also be close to iconic Harlem destinations, local cafés, restaurants, bakeries, shops, and historic landmarks that give the neighborhood its unmistakable character.
And when you’re ready to explore the rest of NYC, getting around couldn’t be easier. With the subway just a short walk away, Manhattan’s most famous attractions are easily accessible. Spend the day exploring Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Fifth Avenue, Broadway, the Empire State Building, museums, shopping, and countless other New York landmarks—then come back and experience the neighborhood atmosphere that makes Harlem so special.
What we love most about this location is that you don’t have to choose between experiencing the famous New York that you’ve seen in movies and discovering the real, local NYC. You get both. Start your morning with coffee at a neighborhood café, walk through Central Park, spend the afternoon sightseeing downtown, and return home for dinner at one of Harlem’s great local restaurants.
Whether it’s your first trip to New York or your tenth, this is a wonderful home base for experiencing everything the city has to offer. History, culture, food, parks, entertainment, and convenient transportation are all right outside your door!
What makes this property unique
What makes this property truly special is the opportunity to experience the charm and character of authentic New York City living while still enjoying the comforts and conveniences of a thoughtfully renovated home.
Set inside a beautiful historic NYC brownstone, the space has been renovated with modern finishes and furnishings while preserving the details and atmosphere that make these classic buildings so unique. With soaring 14-foot ceilings and more than 700 square feet of living space, the home feels unusually spacious and open for Manhattan. The full-floor, loft-style layout gives guests plenty of room to relax, unwind, and enjoy their stay together without feeling cramped.
The property is especially well suited for families and groups. With a comfortable queen bed, a fun twin-over-full bunk bed, and additional sleeping space, everyone can settle in comfortably. After a long day exploring New York, come home, relax in the living room, and enjoy your favorite shows or sporting events on the 50-inch Smart TV.
Another feature that sets this property apart is the full-size kitchen. Instead of relying on restaurants for every meal, guests have the freedom to prepare breakfast, make coffee before heading out, order in and enjoy dinner together, or cook a complete meal at home. The kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator and freezer, oven, microwave, dishes, cutlery, and essential cooking supplies.
And then there’s the location. You’re close to Central Park, neighborhood restaurants and cafés, and convenient subway transportation that makes exploring the rest of Manhattan easy. You can spend the day experiencing some of the most famous attractions in the world and return to the comfort and character of a real New York neighborhood.
It’s the combination that makes this property unique: historic brownstone charm, dramatic ceilings, generous space, modern comforts, a full kitchen, and an incredible NYC location—all wrapped into one memorable New York experience.
