We loved the property and the location. The noise above our floor was our only issue.

One of the best ways to have a memorable stay in Savannah is to choose a historic home in a great location. This unit is truly one of the best you can find for your vacation. There will typically be other residents in the building and their presence is audible but not a major problem. Similar to hotel (hallways etc) noise, lodging in a city center is a little different than staying in your own home. Future guests, please inquire if you would like us to direct you to one of our penthouse. Note they are walk-ups so not suited for anyone with mobility limitations. We also suggest white noise which is free on smart phones for those who prefer to stay on the more convenient lower floors.

This place is absolutely beautiful. It met our needs in every way. The location was perfect. The bed was extremely comfortable. No need to buy coffee as it was already there as was bottled water if needed. We didn’t want to leave! Highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

The lower level has yet to be complete. One evening they were working on the unit. There was a smell of strong cleaner that we smelled throughout the night.Location was good.

We visited Savannah to tour SCAD with our Daughter and this was an amazing location and property. We knew we did not want to stay in a normal hotel and experience the character of the city. Wow, did this property exceed our expectations! It was very clean and had everything you would need! The sofa fold out into a full/queen bed which was very comfy for our daughter! I would say 4 adults comfortably. I'd love to stay again when we have more time!

Really beautiful suite with lovely architecture and character! The location could not have been better for our first trip to Savannah. This was central and within easy walking distance to everything we wanted to see and all notable areas of downtown Savannah. The most we ever had to walk was about 15 minutes from the end of the river front! The host was very responsible and friendly, and the suite was very clean. Something to note, this is a newer BnB listing, so it looked like they were still finishing up some renovations. The hallway had just been painted so we were hit with a really strong smell of paint, but as long as we kept the doors leading to it closed, it wasn't a problem! There were some little things that I would recommend to improve the stay (adding a microwave, having towel hooks in the bathroom so we had somewhere to hang our towels, potentially adding an outlet in the bathroom or near a mirror to make drying hair easier), but overall, we really enjoyed our stay! This is the middle floor of this home, so we did hear the people above us walking around quite clearly and often in the middle of the night (1-3am), but if you're a heavy sleeper (like my husband), or wear ear plugs, it isn't so bad! We understand it's an old home, so there are always quirks, but I would always choose to stay somewhere like this over a hotel when in a place live Savannah with its rich history!

Beautiful and charming suite in a great location. The decor and tall ceilings were so elegant. We appreciated the plush towels, rugs, and blankets. Bed was comfortable, and kitchen seemed decently stocked. Ice cube trays in the freezer were super useful. The location is just far away from the main riverfront areas that you feel like you're in a quiet, peaceful spot, but still only a 10-15 minute walk away from everything you'd want to see in Savannah. Couple notes for future guests: - Parking after hours is free but you can't pay in advance for the following morning so you may want to set an alarm so that you can pay for parking on time. We saw someone get a parking ticket by 10am. The app/website explains all the parking details. - As an old building, the noise insulation is not great. You can hear every footstep and conversation upstairs so bring earplugs or white noise machine if you need that. - The wide double doors between the living area and the main bedroom area did not close entirely - just in case you're counting on that privacy. - The door to the building was perfectly secure, but my husband and I both had an incredibly hard time with the door to the suite itself. The deadbolt would not close fully from the outside and required a lot of finnagling from the inside. Supposedly we're the only ones who had that trouble, but that would be a dealbreaker to some people I know so I wanted to mention it.

If you make a note of the # of your parking spot space you can pay the next morning from bed using the Park Savannah app or the city website. This is a newly launched vacation rental and has been very popular with no other comments about this door. The double doors are one of the most striking architectural features of this unit and if you pull the door into alignment with the deadbolt hole on the opposite door the lock works just like it should. There is no automation and these are tall heavy original doors from the 1800's. We are noticing across town at all of the historic homes we have managed for over a decade the guests are getting more reluctant to physically handle the doors the way they have to in order to use the knob and lock hardware. It seems modern automation where everything is automated, effortless and "like butter" has altered the expectations and perspectives of modern travelers. Savannah homes are mostly well over 125 years old at this point and staying in the historic preserved residential properties is a totally different experience than staying in a modern commercial building. If anything is actually malfunctioning we take quick action but in this case, there was nothing whatsoever wrong with the door or the lock.

Place was very clean and a great area if you want to walk places. Highly recommend not bringing a car if you stay here as there is not a parking spot and everything is metered.
Stayed 7 nights in May 2026
Response from VrboOwner on 19 June 2026
For those who do not wish to park on street at metered spots there is a city parking deck a couple of blocks away at 301 W Liberty St with very reasonable daily rates. Parking on the street is easy to find therefore many guests prefer using the metered street spots because it’s simple to pay for with a credit card and is free at night. But the public garage is a great solution too.
