An absolutely beautiful small cabin. Perfect for us! Very clean and well stocked with anything we might need. Loved the lake - no weeds, sandy bottom and shallow. We appreciated the high quality touches in the cabin (dishwasher, washer, fridge and blackout shades to name a few). Highly recommend!

Had a nice fire in the pit down by the beach. The beach is amazing soft clean sand. There is nothing we needed it was all there. Thank you for an amazing weekend.

This place is gorgeous! The owner, Michelle, was very responsive and wants you to have the best stay possible. They thought of everything you might possibly need for your stay and more. It was super clean and ready for our stay on a moments notice. We reserved it on Thursday and she called about 15 minutes later to let us know the outside wasn’t ready for the season but we could still stay knowing it wasn’t ready. She still had bikes, fire pit and kayaks for us to use. The view was gorgeous and you could sit in the cabin and see the views from there with the big windows they have or you could sit in the many different areas outside to enjoy the view as well. We were very pleased with our stay and how responsive she was. She messaged us the day of to let us know things were ready and to make sure we had the code and the WiFi password and knew how to get in and that we could help ourselves to whatever was in the cabin. Great place and would strongly recommend!! Thank you!

Michelle was a great host! She answered all of my questions extremely fast and was very kind. She was willing to accommodate my request for an early check-in as well as a late check out so I could enjoy my stay as long as possible. The photos of the cabin were accurate and included everything shown, but somehow the space still exceeded my expectations. My partner and I truly appreciated the small attention to details throughout the property. All the decor was super cute and made it feel like home. The size was perfect for two people and we had plenty of space to relax. We didn’t get a chance to play the games that they had there but it was a nice surprise in case we ran out of things to do.We spent most of the time outside by the lake or grilling. The grill was kept in good condition and very clean, they had all the utensils we needed. All the appliances looked brand new and super fancy. The sunlight and view through the windows was amazing. The lake was so clear you could see the bottom. There were kayaks for us to use but we had a great time just swimming and hanging out at the dock. There is a fire pit and plenty of seating outside to enjoy different areas of the property.Check-in was very smooth and the check-out list was super simple and easy to follow.I could go on and on about how great the experience was.I wanted to stay for an extra day and she was willing to let us extend our stay but unfortunately the weather had other plans so we chose to go home. We will definitely be back!

This little lake cottage is so charming, yet modern! We had the best time in the Battle Lake area: fishing, hiking, dining, shopping, and golfing, sightseeing, etc. Everything in this cabin (and boathouse) was updated and clean. Don't even get me started on the amazing view and quiet location! As you can see from the pictures, the wonderful king bed makes for a tighter bedroom, but don't let that deter you! With a little adaptation and creativity we were able to take on this minimal challenge. Give this place a chance - you won't be disappointed!

About the host

Hosted by Keith & Michelle P

Host profile image
Hi, we’re Keith and Michelle — lake-loving Minnesotans who truly enjoy creating cozy, welcoming spaces for people to relax, reconnect, and make memories.

We love spending time on the water, biking the trails at Glendalough State Park, staying active, and enjoying everything Battle Lake has to offer. If you happen to see us out and about, you’ll probably find Michelle on the pickleball courts, Keith getting a workout in at our local gym, or the two of us enjoying one of the many fun restaurants around town. We’re also proud grandparents and love spending time with our family and friends whenever we can.

Hosting brings us joy, and our goal is for every guest to feel cared for and right at home. Whether you’re here to unwind, celebrate something special, explore the lakes area, or simply enjoy a slower pace, we’re so happy to share this place with you.

And why the “Honeymoon Suite”? This little stretch of West Battle Lake is especially meaningful to us — we honeymooned on this very same beach more than 30 years ago. ❤️ Now we get to share a place that’s been part of our story with you.

Welcome to the Honeymoon Suite — we hope you love it as much as we do!

Keith & Michelle

Why they chose this property

We chose West Battle Lake because we fell in love with it more than 30 years ago when we honeymooned right on this same beach just a few cabins down. It’s one of those places that stays with you — the sugar sand, peaceful water, quiet mornings, and glowing sunrises. When this cabin became available years later, it felt meant to be. Now we get to share the same lake that started our marriage with guests looking for rest, connection, and simple lake life, and that feels pretty special to us.

What makes this property unique

Our Honeymoon Suite is special because it’s a cozy, thoughtfully remodeled one-bedroom lake cabin that’s available year-round — perfect for summer lake days, fall color weekends, winter quiet escapes, and spring refresh getaways. Every detail was designed to feel warm and welcoming, with charming interiors and a sugar sand beach just steps from the door. Guests love the soft, shallow shoreline for swimming and floating, peaceful mornings by the water, and beautiful sunsets in the evening. It’s the perfect blend of privacy and convenience — This isn’t just a place to stay — it’s a little lakeside retreat where you can slow down, reconnect, and relax any time of year.
