You’ll find a king-sized bedroom with en suite bath. Upstairs is a cozy nook for reading or naps and 2nd bathroom. This wonderful property was perfect in every way.

The owners have thought of everything. The entire home was comfortable and beautifully appointed, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We even loved the toiletries that were provided. The garage and screened porch were an added bonus.

Even in cloud cover the lake is stunning.

The property was perfect for a weekend getaway. We wished we could stay longer. The first thing we saw when walking into the house was the amazing view of the lake. The weather was rainy and cool when we were there, so we appreciated the covered deck and 3 season porch. Highly recommended this property, even though I would like to gatekeep it, and look forward to returning.

Longtime visitor to the North Shore.
We own Halsnoy Haven and the connecting property called Tofte Cove.
Both homes were name after the villages in Norway where the original settlers of Tofte were from. During my free time I have been landscaping the property to its original native setting. We have planted over 70 trees, bushes and flowers on both properties. All profit goes into improving the property. in 2026 we are hoping to install Mini-splits in the bedroom to provide air condition to this room.

Why they chose this property

Ideal location to explore the North Shore.
Spend your morning on the deck/porch with coffee or tea.
During the day you can hike, bike, walk, golf, ski, shop and explore the area.
The bike path i.e. Gitchee-Gummi connects you to the towns of Schroder, Tofte and Lutsen where you will find restaurants, Tofte museum, coffee shops and shopping.
Late afternoon on the same deck porch enjoying and remembering your day.

What makes this property unique

Location. You have 1.8 acres of land on Lake Superior staying in a recently renovated house with cozy indoor and outdoor furniture. Interior views are special. Most of the rooms or porches/deck face Lake Superior it has amazing effect of relaxation.
A number of guests have share with me that they cancelled day trips to stay on the property.
