About this property
Two Queen Tent Sites - Hillside Upper Loop - Get Outside!
Our Two Queen Tent Sites on our upper loop are located farther up the hill in a more mature forest, offering a tucked-in setting amongst the trees. With two queen beds, these are a great fit for families traveling together or friends looking to share a simple, memorable stay—just a little deeper into the woods. They are approximately 500–750 feet from the Base Lodge (about a five-minute walk) via a rugged footpath. These sites involve more stairs and a longer walk from the main trail, making them a good choice for guests who enjoy a bit of adventure. Modern portable restrooms are located within 400 feet of all hillside sites. We’ll transport you and your gear to and from your site at check-in and check-out. Each tent is warmed by a wood-burning stove. The Base Lodge features four modern bathrooms and showers, open 24 hours, stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hairdryers. Our Camp Store has ice, firewood, groceries, outdoor gear, and a lending library of books and games. Wi-Fi is intentionally not available at the tents (but device charging is!). Guest Wi-Fi is available at the Base Lodge. There is no electricity at your site, but a Jackery power station is provided for charging devices. Here’s everything available for your site — you’ll select your specific gear after you book. You design your days and nights! • 3 Barebones rechargeable lanterns • 2 flashlights • Solar-powered Jackery power station • Breeo X Series fire pit with grilling tools • 1 complimentary bundle of firewood per stay • 5-gallon beverage dispenser • Enamel dishware • Flatware and serving utensils; chef, paring & steak knives; veggie peeler; scissors • Cookware • Corkscrew, bottle opener, can opener, colander, French press, kettle • Dish tub, drying rack, dish soap, scrubber, paper towels, foil • Bedding and pillows
Guests also enjoy 24-hour access to Base Lodge restrooms and showers, plus access to the pool, hot tub, sauna, and lakeshore next door at Cove Point Lodge on Lake Superior.
