The guest did not mention anything remotely regarding problems with cleanliness to me during one of the multiple phone conversations we had. He only mentioned that it "felt weird" like "someone lived there," and the specific items he mentioned that made him feel that way were the provided pantry and amenity items that made it feel too lived in. We have every home professionally cleaned and ALSO inspected by a member of our staff with extensive checklists, which require photo evidence of completion. The checklist completed minutes prior to arrival show photos of an empty trash can in the home's one bathroom, empty clean tables, and empty fridge and freezer. They are also specifically trained not to leave alcohol for guests for various reasons, and marked that they had checked. We are more than happy to provide photo evidence, which includes the date and time of the inspection, if requested. The guest immediately (within an hour of arriving) complained and asked to be allowed to leave two days early with a full refund of unused days. But he wanted to stay for two days? We allowed him to cancel and would provide a refund if and only if they days were rebooked. They did not rebook. When we denied his request for a refund, he left this review.
