Lakeside Cabin, Cozy Family Pet-Friendly, Beautiful Views, Free Dock & Boat Slip
Cabin 12 is a lovely two-bedroom lakeside cabin with a front porch and a back deck overlooking Lake Almanor and Big Cove on the peninsula of the north shore. Located in Almanor Lakeside Resort, just off Peninsula Drive, it is only a few steps from the water. The living room has a 55" flat-screen Smart TV with DVD player, air conditioner, and gas fireplace. Kitchen includes large dining table, refrigerator, gas stove with oven, microwave, programmable coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, electric tea pot, mixer, blender, electric fry pan, dishes, pots & pans, silverware and utensils. Vacuum cleaner, broom & mop and hand vac are provided for quick clean ups. One large bedroom has king-size bed with desk and flat-screen Smart TV as well as sliding glass doors to the deck with a lake view. Second bedroom has queen bed and flat screen TV. There are ceiling fans in each room. Bedding and towels are provided. Hair dryer provided in re-modeled bathroom with glass shower. Lake view deck has gas grill, table & chairs, and small fenced area for pets. Small and medium/large sized dogs will be considered for a non-refundable $50 fee. Covered front porch has table & chairs and two easy chairs. A free slip is provided for your boat between April 15th and October 31st so you won't have to re-launch during your stay. The resort includes lawn area with picnic tables.

It's not only having the option of recreation, it's also that peaceful setting to charge and re-charge your life. We enjoy customer service and we hope we can help you enjoy your next adventure at Lake Almanor!
Why they chose this property
We chose this property because it has everything! It has a great location on the north shore of the Peninsula of Lake Almanor that allows it to get a lot of sun and great views of the lake. Because it is located in Big Cove, it is sheltered from the wind and it provides easy access in and out of the marina.
Our Cabin #12 is also part of a quiet resort that has many additional facilities such as a picnic area, boat launch, boat slips, fire pit, fish cleaning station etc.
While the cabin is located in a quiet, lakeside setting, it is also near the town of Chester that has many amenities including a hospital.
Cabin #12 is only two hours from our home in Reno that allows us to use it ourselves quite often. There are no high passes to cross in the winter time, allowing us to get there in summer and winter.
Lake Almanor is a beautiful lake that is not as commercialized or crowded as other lakes in Northern Nevada and California. The lake is a pretty blue and many of its sunrises and sunsets are to die for! It has four great seasons and does not have extremes that are difficult to contend with.
What is not to like about this property?

1. COMFORT: We put king and queen size 'pillow-top' mattresses on the beds in the bedrooms. We know how difficult it can be to sleep in discomfort when away from home. With our stays averaging between 3 days and two weeks, we wanted to make sure our guests feel comfortable, day and night.
We also put in a large dining room table with padded chairs to make people comfortable while eating or playing cards and games. We added a comfortable leather chair in addition to the couch and other chairs.
2. CONVENIENCE: Cabin #12 is located across the street from the Red Onion restaurant and bar and the Peninsula Market that has an award winning deli and coffee shop. You can cook on the gas grill on the lake view deck or buy breakfast at the Market Deli or have a great dinner and drink at the Red Onion. They are both within easy walking distance of the cabin.
Having a free boat launch and slip during your stay makes lake activities convenient for you. Everything you need is within a short walk. If you need more, the town of Chester is less than 8 miles away and Mt. Lassen Volcanic National Park is only 35 miles away. There are many many adventures waiting for you within minutes!
3. CONNECTION: Like many places, we offer free wifi. We also offer an office desk to catch up on a few minutes of work while you're enjoying your adventures! For evening relaxation, we installed a 55 inch flat screen Smart TV along with a DVD Blue Ray Player.
