The kids were over the moon, the wife loved it, this place is AWESOME for families. The property is quiet, secluded, and feels like we have the whole forest to ourselves. So comfortable and fun. It was incredibly clean, warm, and inviting. We are definitely coming back!!
Stay here! Loved it. Dreamy secluded designer home. The shower is soooo cool- three shower heads! I love the waterfall mosaic. So many little details. The tree post hand rails and the loft net were my fave. The hottub is huge and can fit 6 people easy. Definitely coming back
STAY HERE! Loved every minute. Secluded, forested, cozy, peaceful, dreamy, well stocked kitchen, INCREDIBLE shower (three shower heads!). Comfortable bed. Fast WiFi. The owners clearly put a ton of effort into all the little details. I loved the giant hot tub, massive deck, loft net, and the loft stairs with tree hand rails are so cool! Can’t wait to come back.
My gf and I stayed here for my birthday weekend, and it couldn’t have been a better choice. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how peaceful and secluded the property felt. Surrounded by trees and mountain scenery, it was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy a few days away from the hustle of everyday life. One of our favorite parts of the stay was spending mornings on the deck with a cup of coffee, listening to the sounds of the forest and taking in the views. The cabin has a true mountain retreat feel, offering plenty of privacy while still being close to everything the area has to offer. The cabin itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout the property really stood out, and the large windows made it easy to enjoy the beautiful surroundings even when indoors. As a mountain biker, we chose this location because of its proximity to some great riding areas, and it did not disappoint. We spent our days exploring nearby trails and loved coming back each evening to such a quiet and relaxing place. The location was also convenient for visiting Hendersonville, enjoying local restaurants, and exploring the surrounding mountain towns. What made this stay special wasn’t just the cabin itself, but the overall experience. Between the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful setting, great food nearby, and excellent outdoor recreation opportunities, it made for an unforgettable birthday weekend.
We loved being up in the trees at this cabin. The forest here is gorgeous- great for seclusion and relaxation. It's a close drive to Chimney Rock, Asheville and Hendersonville and easy to get to from the Piedmont. This is going to be our new go-to home base in the mountains from now on. Thanks!
Fantastic peaceful stay at the treehouse. We enjoyed the comfy beds and waking up to the view from the treetops. Wonderful memories made having morning coffee and seeing a baby bear! After a long day hiking we enjoyed the hot tub so much. We will definitely be back soon! Great restaurants and so much to do nearby!

About the host
Hosted by Jordan
Originally from Spartanburg, I always loved taking trips to the mountains. I became a nature and treehouse fanatic over the course of the years and decided it was time to build a special place of my own in a place I already had so many fond memories of.
Why they chose this property
We saw the forest for the trees on this one! The idea from the outset was to find the perfect property to build a unique treehouse destination in the beautiful blue ridge mountains and situated in the heart of western NC culture. After walking this site, it was obvious the magnificent poplar, oak and maples would provide the ideal setting for what would become the Beary Cozy Treehouse. The land was purchased in 2022 and design began immediately. Construction began with the driveway in 2023 and the house was completed in 2026.
What makes this property unique
You'll find the best of both worlds here. The treehouse is nestled amongst and connected to great tall trees within a forest of rhododendron, oak, maple, and poplar. It provides a quiet place to connect with nature.
Situated on gorgeous Bearwallow Mountain side and adjacent to Apple Valley, you'll find lots of places to hike, explore, eat, drink and play including state forests, parks, towns, hiking trails, waterfalls, swimming holes, wineries, breweries and restaurants. The greater Hendersonville and Asheville areas provide even more to explore with strong live music, brewing, and arts scenes.
