About the area
About this property
North 1st Street Retreat - Jackson Ward Edge
This spacious two-story private home is ideal for large groups visiting Richmond. Located on the 400 block of North First Street, the house is just a short walk from dozens of restaurants, entertainment venues, and the Richmond Convention Center. The home offers a private outdoor patio and a dedicated parking space, making it a convenient and central spot for your stay.
The space
The home is designed with large groups in mind. The first floor includes a comfortable living room with a 50” smart TV, wet bar, microwave, and coffee station. There is also a large first-floor bedroom with two queen beds and a full bathroom.
The second floor features the master suite with a king-size bed, heart-shaped Jacuzzi tub, and a walk-in shower. This floor also includes a full kitchen, second bathroom, and a quaint deck with dining space. The layout provides plenty of room for groups to gather while maintaining areas for privacy.
The outdoor patio is a relaxing space with a fire pit and seating. (Please note the outdoor furniture is limited to this seating area.)
Parking
One designated parking spot is available underneath the wooden patio at the back of the property. Please park perpendicular to the alley under the deck.
Street parking is available on North 1st Street. Please pay close attention to posted signs:
• 2-hour limit from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday – Saturday
• Not enforced on Sundays
Multiple public parking garages are located nearby, including two within walking distance.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire home and one dedicated parking space. Entry is self-check-in via keyless code.
Other things to note
This property is ideal for groups who prioritize space, location, and comfort. The kitchens are compact and the home is in a historic building, so some bathrooms and rooms may be smaller than modern homes.
While our properties are full of character and located in one of Richmond’s oldest districts, we understand that their historic layouts may not be suitable for everyone. Please note that our Airbnbs do not have elevators, and access to the units may require climbing multiple flights of stairs. If you have any questions or concerns about accessibility, please reach out—we’re happy to help you determine whether the space will be a good fit for your stay.
