The location was great and generally as advertised. Definitely could use a few extra blankets and the white sofa looks filthy. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.
Loved everything about our stay here. The house is exactly as it’s posted online. Beautiful location. Close to Seaside square, Alys beach, & rosemary beach. Lots of places to eat and such a cozy & safe neighborhood. We walked to the beach EVERY morning & it was never packed. I will definitely stay here again.
Enjoyed our time at Ambience. The floors could use a deep clean but everything else was nice and clean. Great spot with only a short walk to pool and beach and the neighborhood was charming.
Great location and house. Accessible to beach and nearby activities. House is much cuter in person and great for hanging out with family and friends. All needs anticipated by homeowners and rental property. Easiest check in and check out I have ever done!
Easy walks to the beach and pools—even with young kids!
The only negative was that the front door doesn’t have a deadbolt or latch inside—so even the 2 year old could easily let himself out with the lever handle.
GPS sends you to a locked "owners" gate so that was a little confusing. Notes left for renters needs updating. But overall, it's a great place to vacation. Great location. So much fun.
Convenient.. comfortable... perfect for our family of seven. Quiet for this time of year! Loved the shaded and clean pool. We left it as clean as we would want our home to be. Thank you!
This property had everything we needed. It was very clean and thoughtfully stocked with all the kitchen ware you could need. The houses are all very close together and during our stay the neighboring house was getting painted which led to being asked to move our vehicle out of our driveway more than once. Luckily the house across the street was empty and we were able to move the vehicle there for the day. The beach isn’t too far from the home and the pools are very close by. Overall very pleasant stay!
Very nice house. Very close to beach. Quiet street, making it very safe for children. We were disappointed that we had requested extra blankets several times and were assured we would have them upon arrival. They never came. Bring extra blankets for added warmth.
The house was just what we needed to accommodate 5 adults and 2 teenagers. We loved the set up. The proximity to the pool was great. We were a little confused about the beach access and a phone call to the property manager wasn't a lot of help but we eventually figured it out. The whole private vs public beach thing was confusing and a bit disappointing but no fault of the property manager or owner. Just not very clear in the property description. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Worst of three trips to this neighborhood
This house was not cleaned well. It was primarily the floors, but we also found leftover clothes from previous guests. We had a fitted sheet that was too small and it took two days to get a proper sheet. There was only one key fob for beach and pool access, but that was finally replaced after a two day wait. The neighborhood is terrific. It was our 3rd stay here and we’ll come back to a different house.
Everything is veryconvenient. Dryer didn’t work. Broke beach chairs and two bikes that were broke. A wooden chair that my son leaned to yawn back in and it completely broke off. I would say some things need to have maintenance done when you have 8 people stay.
The twin beds downstairs are so hard and the comforters are actually sheets. Bring blankets.
We enjoyed our stay here. The house's proximity to the beach is fantastic (less than 5 minutes, use the path next to the pool), and the provided bikes made it a breeze to visit nearby shops along 30A to the east. And Seaside is just a few minutes drive to the west. Starting our mornings with coffee on the screened-in porch was delightful. The kitchen has modern appliances and is well-stocked with all the dishes and tools we needed. The early check-in message was an appreciated gesture.
While the house has its charm, a few areas caught our attention. Things like dirty windows, scuffs on the walls, and couch covers in desperate need of a deep clean were evident. The place seems ready for a light refresh. My actual rating would be closer to a 3.5, but I'm rounding up. Nevertheless, we had a pleasant experience and it was a good value. With a touch more care, this spot could easily earn a full 5 stars.
It's a catfish. Photographs make it look lovely and wonderful. And in many ways, it is. It's proximity to the beach and layout of the house is excellent. BUt there were some funky things going on. First of all, the property team needs to get a new cleaning crew. There was vomit on the wainscoting in the downstairs bathroom and dried urine on the floor to match the toilet full of urine as well. There was filth on all the doors and light switches, and the furniture slipcovers needed a good stain removal/bleaching. There was a crockpot promised and it was not there (which isn't fatal- the rest of the kitchen was well equipped with new appliances). There are no extra blankets to lounge with, or use on the beds for extra warmth, so bring your own. There were also no boogie boards- again, not fatal, but be prepared to make an Instacart order to WalMart or buy your own when you get here.
The property management team is not local, so I had to repeat myself to three off-shore folks. Checked in on Saturday when all this went down, and had to physically walk in to the local property team on Monday. No one actually reached out until Thursday, and by then it was too late to help us since we checked out on Friday. The TVs are very old, and one works with cable, one works with Netflix, and one will allow Disney+ to be cast to it. But they all change, and you never know which remote to use. It's SUPER frustrating if you have children, so bring iPads. The internet is solid.
