The room was pretty nice nothing was wrong there. The listing did not mention anything about the amenities in the resort such as the bars, bowling alleys or coffee shops all located at the resort but once we arrived we learned that we would not be able to use any of those things because we rented through VRBO. As I mentioned the listing didn’t mention this so going in your expectations aren’t for that but if you’re familiar with Myrtle at all you’ll probably recognize that it is Coral Beach resort and expect the amenities… but don’t. Other than that the stay was okay but having to leave and find some place to get coffee and get a drink was disheartening when we were passing a Starbucks in our own lobby or passing a literal bowling alley on our floor that we had zero access too. Stay was okay but I think others should be aware that these amenities are there and they are unavailable.

We actually never got a chance to stay in the VRBO property because Julie the host with big Fish rentals canceled our reservations. The day we were due to arrive with no notice we were able to find a room at the same resort, but it was through the resort and not VRBO however, during our stay, we had met several other couples that were telling us that they got screwed on their reservation as well and when we asked jokingly if they’re host name was Julie they said yes Julie with big Fish rentals so I would advise anyone who is reading this to not rent with them as their communication back-and-forth was the worst I’ve ever seen with no response to multiple emails and messages. They basically left us hanging after we had already drove halfway across the country by canceling our reservation with no notice for no reason at that of which it had already been paid for in full.
