I’m sorry the check‑in was confusing and that the unit had an off odor and worn, unclean furniture — I understand covering the couch was frustrating. Housekeeping has been notified to deep‑clean and investigate the smell, and maintenance will assess and address the furniture and overall cleanliness. We are taking these actions immediately: - Dispatch maintenance to diagnose and repair the central AC and the portable unit; remove any standing water and address potential water damage or mold. - Inspect the HVAC system (thermostats, condensate drains, vents) to prevent recurrence. - Remove and replace any affected linens or furnishings and perform a professional deep clean of the impacted room. - Replace the portable AC unit if it cannot be properly repaired. - Update and clarify the check‑in and parking instructions in the listing and confirmation messages so guests know where to park and how to access the unit. - Audit our guest-communication procedures, retrain staff, and implement faster response protocols for maintenance and access issues. - Strengthen turnover and quality-control checks to ensure critical systems are verified before the next guest arrives.
