This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed here. Love it! We are close to harness track and golfing! Beautifully decorated! We will continue to come back and stay for our horse shows!

We’re originally from the Midwest, and like a lot of people, we first came to Pinehurst for the golf. On that trip, a friend suggested we swing by Pinehurst Country Club. The moment we pulled into the Village, we felt it — this place was different. Sitting on the veranda, watching golfers finish on No. 2, we knew we’d stumbled onto something special.

We ended up staying an extra day, playing No. 1 in the morning, and discovering a few of our now‑favorite spots like Dugan’s Pub and the Pine Crest Inn. The more time we spent here, the more Pinehurst felt like a place we wanted to be part of — the rocking chairs, the history, the golf culture, the small‑town charm. It just felt right.

On the drive home, we knew we’d be back. A few years later, we found our own little piece of Pinehurst — and that’s how Southern Memories was born.

We love hosting here because Pinehurst gives people the same feeling it gave us: relaxed, welcoming, and a little magical. Sharing that experience with guests is one of our favorite parts of owning a place here.

In the mornings, we like to sit out on the deck with a cup of coffee and listen to the breeze move through the pines. It’s quiet, relaxing, and the perfect way to start the day before heading into town for golf, shopping, or dinner. Everything you need is close by, but the setting still feels like a retreat.
