The Space:

The Space



The famous Big Blue Cottages are a beautifully remodeled four-unit beach compound in the heart of Ocean Beach, just steps from the sand and one block from lively Newport Avenue. Designed in an upscale coastal cottage style, the property allows families or groups traveling together to share the experience while still enjoying the privacy of their own space.



Unit 1 is a bright three-bedroom cottage featuring a king bed, two queen beds, and a sleeper sofa in the living room. The home offers two bathrooms, a cozy living room with a stone fireplace, and two private decks with beautiful ocean views and sunsets.



Unit 2 offers three bedrooms with a king bed, a queen bed, and a room with two twin beds, plus a loft with a daybed. The home includes two bathrooms, a comfortable living space with a stone fireplace, and private decks with panoramic views of the ocean and coastline.



Unit 3 is a comfortable two-bedroom cottage with a king bed and a queen bed, two bathrooms, and a bright living space with a stone fireplace. A grassy yard with a BBQ provides a relaxing outdoor space to enjoy the ocean breeze.



Unit 4 features two bedrooms with a king bed and a queen bed, plus a sleeper sofa in the living room. The home includes two bathrooms, a cozy living area with a stone fireplace, and a grassy outdoor space with a BBQ for relaxing or dining outside.



Each cottage includes a fully equipped kitchen, in-home washer and dryer, beach gear, and free parking. The beach, pier, tide pools, and Ocean Beach’s restaurants, cafés, and surf shops are all just a short walk away.

Guest Access:

Guests will have access to the entire compund during their stay - 3 car parking spaces plus tandem.



The Neighborhood:

Ocean Beach is a great neighborhood. It close to all in San Diego yet if you want to just hang out at the beach it's a great beach for all. Swimming, boogie boarding, surfing, beach volleyball, tidepool exploring, evening bonfires, walks on the pier, sandcastle building and more. Our building is walking distance to great restaurants (2 blocks) and shopping. there is evening nightlife and live music nearby as well.



Getting Around:

Ocean Beach is one of San Diego’s most vibrant and walkable neighborhoods - perfect for both relaxation and adventure. Whether you're walking, biking, or driving, getting around is easy and convenient. OB is close to everything San Diego has to offer, yet it feels like its own coastal haven. Spend your days soaking up the sun on the beach just minutes away, where you can enjoy swimming, surfing, boogie boarding, beach volleyball, tidepool exploring, evening bonfires, sandcastle building, and peaceful walks on the pier. When the sun sets, the neighborhood comes alive with a laid-back nightlife scene and live music just blocks away.

• No Smoking • Guests ages 25+ unless family groups • Parking: 3 driveway parking, plus tandem ( 6 total ) • Pets may be permitted with prior approval and a fee of $150 • Events/parties are not permitted and strictly enforced • Pack n' play and high chair available for rent - $25 each plus tax • As part of our standard verification process, we kindly request that the guest signs an additional agreement and verifies ID. Your comfort and security are important to us.

• Payment terms vary by booking channel. When processed through platforms that allow us to manage payment directly, a 10% deposit is taken at booking, with the remaining balance automatically collected after the cancellation period, as outlined in the cancellation policy. For channels where we do not manage payment, the full reservation amount is due at the time of booking.

As part of our personalized guest experience, a Guest Experience Manager will personally welcome you at your preferred arrival time. They will provide a walk-through tour, ensuring you are familiar with the home's amenities so you can settle in effortlessly and start enjoying your vacation.
