About this property

2 Ensuite Suites | Walk to Downtown | Free Tickets

Your stay includes $940.00 in complimentary activities. Just by booking with us, you'll receive free tickets, every day of your stay, to top activities like Dollywood, Ober Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway, and more. (One free admission per activity, per day)

A private corner condo at Gatlinburg Chateau, set on the hillside just above downtown — close enough to walk to the Parkway, high enough to escape the noise, traffic, and parking hassle when you want to.

Most Gatlinburg stays force a tradeoff: be downtown and deal with the crowds, or be far enough out that you're driving every time you leave. Unit 301 sits in the rare middle. Guests tell us the same thing over and over — conveniently close to the strip, but far enough away that you don't hear it at night.

WHAT MAKES UNIT 301 DIFFERENT

CORNER UNIT, OVERSIZED BALCONY — Larger and more open than most balconies in the building, with a direct view of downtown Gatlinburg, the strip, the Space Needle, and the surrounding Smokies. It's the thing guests remember most: breakfast and coffee out here in the morning, city lights at night.

TWO ENSUITE BEDROOMS — Each bedroom has its own private full bathroom. It's why this condo works so well for a family of four or two couples traveling together — everyone gets a door that closes and a bathroom nobody's waiting on at 7am.

WALKABLE TO THE PARKWAY — Skip the parking deck fees and the bumper-to-bumper drive. Restaurants, shops, Anakeesta, Ripley's Aquarium, and the Space Needle are all within walking distance. Guests routinely leave the car parked the entire stay and save real money doing it.

GAS FIREPLACE + COMFORTABLE LIVING AREA — Open layout with a cozy gas fireplace, comfortable seating, and a dining table for shared meals or a quiet glass of wine.

FULL KITCHEN — Full-size refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and coffee maker, for breakfast before you head out or a low-key dinner in.

EASY ARRIVAL — We leave a parking pass for you, and there's parking on the property a short, easy walk from the building elevator. No hauling suitcases up three flights.

A HOST WHO ACTUALLY ANSWERS — Text us. "Attentive," "helpful," and "responsive" come up in review after review. If something's off, we want to hear about it while you're still here, not after you've gone home.

COMMUNITY POOL (SEASONAL) — Gatlinburg Chateau guests have access to the seasonal outdoor pool during the warmer months.

LAYOUT & SLEEPING

• Main bedroom: King bed with private ensuite bathroom

• Second bedroom: Queen bed with private ensuite bathroom

• Sleeps 4

BONUS: $940 IN FREE TICKETS

Every booking includes free daily admission to top Gatlinburg-area attractions like Dollywood, Ober Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway, and more. One free admission per activity, per day of your stay.

GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK

We'd rather you know now than be surprised at check-in.

• NO WASHER OR DRYER. There is no in-unit laundry at Unit 301. If you'll need to do laundry mid-trip, plan on a nearby laundromat.

• THE WALK BACK UP IS STEEP. Getting down to the Parkway is easy. The return is a genuine uphill climb — short, but steep. If anyone in your group has mobility or breathing limitations, plan to drive back up rather than walk it.

• The driveway into the complex is likewise steep, though paved and manageable for most vehicles in normal conditions.

• Comfortable, not brand-new. The condo is clean and well cared for, but the finishes are classic rather than freshly renovated. If a modern designer build is what you're after, this isn't that condo.

• Unit 301 is on the third floor, and the building has an elevator.

• Parking is on-site within the complex and a parking pass is left for you.

• Sleeps 4. Check-in 4:00 PM, check-out 10:00 AM.

If your goal is to be close to the action without being stuck in it, this is exactly where you want to be.

Communication with the host was very good prior to and during our stay. Unit was clean and we enjoyed the view of the strip from the oversized balcony. Good location, was only a few minutes walking from the building to the main strip. Would defiantly stay again.

The condo was in a great location! Close to downtown and the trolley. Loved the balcony and pool. Condo had everything we needed. Check in and out was very clear, host messaged to make sure we had what we needed. I will recommend this place and definitely will be back.

Beautiful, cozy condo! Property was quiet, even being so close to everything in Gatlinburg. Parking lot is way too small for the size of the building.

Location, price, and check in was good. The condo was clean but needs updated. Especially the bathrooms and kitchen. Overall experience was fine. Free tickets were a good bonus.

We loved the corner balcony that looked over downtown Gatlinburg. It made for a great morning wakeup spot and night time place to relax. Bedrooms were clean and each having it's own bathroom was perfect. We used the kitchen for breakfasts and it fit the purpose. Communication throughout the entire process, from reservations to check out was excellent. The only minor inconvenience in the whole stay was the parking. Spots at the "top" were limited and sometimes we had to park in the lower area and walk up the hill.

Host was very attentive to my text. Bonus was free tickets! Had extra linens which was nice. Loved the corner balcony that overlooked downtown. The luggage carts made loading/unloading easy. The handicapped parking was convenient and close to entrance. A pleasant experience overall.

2/10 Terrible

Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, location, listing accuracy
To begin, how to unlock the door using the correct door code and then turning the lock to open the door was not included in the instructions. The email I received made it look like the security code was used to open the door. The 2nd email read Wifi - then a code, which was the code to open the door. I had to contact the host to get the Wifi code which took her 1/2 hour to provide....AND I found it later on the refrigerator door. The A/C was awful. It did not cool the living room and was also used to cool the master bedroom. We ended up ordering 2 standing fans to help cool the 2 bedrooms and the living room. Also, when I asked the host where the parking pass was located, she gave me 3 spots to look - unacceptable. There was also mold and dead bugs in most every room. I wish I could get my money back for this terrible room.

Response from VrboOwner on 20 July 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear your stay did not meet your expectations. We'd like to provide a bit of additional context for future guests. Our entry instructions have been successfully used by many guests, though we're always happy to help if anyone has questions upon arrival. Likewise, the Wi-Fi information is posted inside the home on the refrigerator, and while we strive to respond as quickly as possible, we're a family-owned business rather than a 24/7 call center. We always do our best to assist each guest as promptly as we can. When you mentioned concerns about the air conditioning, we arranged for an HVAC technician to inspect the system during your stay with your permission. The technician confirmed that the unit was operating properly. We also provided the two locations where the parking pass is routinely kept, and it was located in one of those locations. We appreciate all feedback, as it helps us continue improving the guest experience, and we wish you all the best in your future travels.

We enjoyed our stay! The condo is VERY conveniently located close to the strip, but far away that you don’t hear all the noise. It is a bit outdated and we were disappointed it didn’t have a washer and dryer, but that was my fault for not investigating that in advance. The owner was extremely helpful and responsive. We recommend this rental.

Perfect location for walking/hiking to the strip of Gatlinburg! We did not see a bear during our stay but learned how to open the bear proof dumpster. Great mountain views from the complex and the balcony of the condo. Great pool but the smaller hot-tub wasn’t working. The place is a bit dated but homey. AC in the living room was working well but it didn’t travel into the master bedroom enough to meet my husband’s arctic comfort, so he slept on the couch a couple nights. Condo was far enough away from the congestion of the strip but close enough to hear live music from Ole Red at the pool or balcony. Would stay here again with our family of 4.

About the host

Host profile image
Magnolia Vacation Rentals professionally manages a curated portfolio of properties across the Smokies, including this corner unit at Gatlinburg Chateau. We focus on three things: clean, well-maintained spaces; honest, accurate listings (we'd rather under-promise and over-deliver); and fast, helpful communication from booking through checkout. Our guests mention that last one constantly — text us and you'll get a real answer, quickly. If something comes up during your stay, we want to hear about it — and we want to fix it. That's the standard.

Why they chose this property

Most Gatlinburg stays force a tradeoff. Get downtown and you're surrounded by traffic, crowds, and parking decks. Get peace and quiet and you're now driving 15+ minutes every time someone wants a coffee or a Space Needle ride. Unit 301 sits in the rare middle. You're on a hillside above the strip — quiet enough to actually relax on the balcony, and guests confirm you don't hear the noise from up here — but close enough to walk down for dinner, drinks, and an aquarium visit, then walk back to your own corner unit with the city lights below. The layout is what sets it apart. Two bedrooms, two ensuite bathrooms, King and Queen — so a family of four or two couples traveling together each get their own space and their own bathroom. Add the oversized corner balcony (the single most-praised thing in our reviews), a gas fireplace, on-site parking so you skip the $15–$25 downtown deck fees, and $940 in free attraction tickets included with your stay. One honest caveat: the walk back up from the Parkway is steep, and there's no washer or dryer in the unit. Worth knowing before you book.

What makes this property unique

• Corner unit with an oversized private balcony — larger than most in the building • Direct views of downtown Gatlinburg, the strip, the Space Needle, and the surrounding Smokies • Walk to downtown Gatlinburg — Parkway, restaurants, Anakeesta, Aquarium, Space Needle • Two ensuite bedrooms (King + Queen) — no shared bathrooms, good for a family of four or two couples • Quiet hillside setting — close to the strip without the strip noise • Cozy gas fireplace • Full kitchen with dishwasher • Seasonal community pool (Gatlinburg Chateau guests) • On-site parking with a parking pass left for you — skip the downtown deck fees • Elevator to the third floor — no stairs with luggage • Responsive, easy-to-reach host — text us and you'll hear back • $940 in free attraction tickets included with your stay (Dollywood, Ober Tramway, and more) Please note: no in-unit washer or dryer, and the walk back up from the Parkway is steep. Rates vary based on season, holidays, and demand.
