There's a moment that happens when you walk through the door of Sunset Getaway for the first time. The floor-to-ceiling Gulf-front windows stop you in your tracks. Eleven floors up, the emerald water stretches out as far as you can see, the sugar-white sand gleams below, and the M.B. Miller County Pier frames the horizon to the east. The kids are already pressing their faces against the glass. Someone says "wow." That moment — that's what we built this place for.
Sunset Getaway is a freshly renovated, fully loaded Gulf-front condo at Edgewater Beach & Golf Resort in Panama City Beach, Florida. It's designed for families who take their vacations seriously — families who appreciate the details, want everything taken care of, and don't want to spend their beach week solving problems. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, 1,366 square feet, and a private balcony perfectly positioned to watch the Gulf sunset every single evening.

The Space

The living room is the heart of the condo — spacious and comfortable, with two sofas, one of which is a queen sleeper, and a pair of swivel chairs positioned directly in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows. Pull up a chair and watch the waves roll in without ever leaving the AC. There's a large Roku Smart TV mounted on the wall, charging ports throughout, and enough seating for everyone to spread out comfortably.

The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for real cooking — granite countertops, black appliances, a full complement of cookware, utensils, and everything from a coffee maker to a toaster. Families who like to cook breakfast and lunch in the condo and head out for dinners will find everything they need. The dining table seats six comfortably.

The master bedroom features a king bed with an ensuite bathroom and blackout drapes — perfect for sleeping in after a long beach day. The guest bedroom has two queen beds with a gorgeous white shiplap accent wall, blackout drapes, and its own bathroom just steps away. Both bedrooms have Roku Smart TVs and charging ports on the nightstands. Total sleep capacity: 8 guests, comfortably.

The bathrooms are stocked and functional — two full baths means no morning bottlenecks. We've added extra hooks in each bathroom for hanging swimsuits and wet towels, because at the beach, that stuff needs somewhere to go.

There's also an in-unit washer and dryer, so pack light. Sandy clothes and wet towels are never a problem.

One of the most common vacation stresses is figuring out beach gear. We've taken care of it. Stored in the walk-in closet near the second bedroom, you'll find:

The Balcony

The private balcony is one of Sunset Getaway's crown jewels. Facing west and south from the 11th floor, it's perfectly positioned to watch the Gulf sunsets that Panama City Beach is famous for. Every evening, the sky turns pink and gold over the water — grab a drink, pull up a chair, and let the day wind down the right way. The pier is visible to the east, the beach stretches in both directions, and the resort pools are directly below.

The Resort — Edgewater Beach & Golf Resort

Edgewater is the most amenity-rich resort on the Gulf Coast, and staying here means your family has access to an extraordinary amount of things to do without ever leaving the property.

The lagoon pool complex is steps from the Tower 2 elevator — your kids will be there every day. The beach is a 5-minute walk. The Gulf is right outside.

Tower 2 has two elevators, one of which has been recently modernized. Resort security is active 24/7 — this is a gated property and guests wear resort wristbands throughout their stay.

You wake up to sunshine streaming through floor-to-ceiling windows. Step onto the balcony with your coffee and watch the waves roll in. The kids spot dolphins in the distance. After a big breakfast at the dining table, you load up the beach wagon and you're on the sand in minutes — no crossing busy roads, just a short walk through the resort. You set up your chairs and umbrella, the boogie boards come out, and the day begins.

Mid-afternoon, you retreat to the lagoon pool — the kids splash around in the splash pad while you find a lounge chair and finally finish that book you've been meaning to read. As the sun starts to drop toward the water, everyone heads back up to the condo. The balcony is waiting. The sky turns pink, then gold, then deep orange over the Gulf. Someone remembers to take a photo. Everyone's already talking about coming back.

Good to Know Before You Book

Maximum occupancy: 8 guests
Minimum age to book: 25 years old
No parties or events
No smoking inside the unit or on the balcony
Guests are required to register with Edgewater Beach Resort after booking — a $50 resort fee per reservation is required and includes one vehicle pass. A second vehicle can be added for $35. Full instructions are provided after booking.
8 resort wristbands are provided in the condo. Wristbands are required on resort property and cannot be replaced mid-stay — please keep them safe.
The kitchen dishwasher is older but fully functional — it will be replaced in fall 2026 as part of our planned updates.
One closet is reserved for owner and cleaning staff and is not accessible to guests.
Cancellation policy: Firm — full refund 30 days before check-in.


Panama City Beach

PCB is one of the most beloved family beach destinations on the Gulf Coast, and for good reason. The water is genuinely emerald green. The sand is powder white.
