The Space:

This lovely home in Newport, Oregon boasts ample RV and boat parking that conveniently accommodate a range of adventures and outdoor fun.  When guests aren't exploring, or enjoying the sand and waves, they can gather on the side yard deck and cook up some grub on the gas grill! This spacious, split-level home is lovely for families, with a wood-burning fireplace right at the heart of it all. One bathroom and two bedrooms are on the lower level, and there are two bedrooms with a large hallway bathroom on the upper level.



Located in Surfland Estates (three mi south of Newport), the neighborhood is quiet, tree-lined, kid and bike-friendly, and with dead-end streets! Surfland has two beach accesses only for residents and their guests. The first is a switchback staircase leading down to the beach, and the trail leading to it is just a short walk from the house on Surfland Street. The other is at the end of the same street, a measured half-mile from the home. This one is a low bank with easy walk-on access and parking space. Either one will take you to one of the most beautiful, pristine, and unpopulated beaches on the Oregon Coast, perfect for beachcombing and teeming with coastal wildlife! If you prefer a dune type of beach with trails, the South Beach State Park is just a little over a mile to the north.



Newport is just a few miles north, with boat launches and a crabbing/fishing dock next to the Rogue Brewery World Headquarters (crab rings are stacked behind the house for your convenience and enjoyment!) The Oregon Coast Aquarium is also nearby. On the other side of the bridge are the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse and the Old Bayfront, lined with shops, a wide variety of restaurants, and other popular attractions. At the end is mooring for the largest commercial fishing fleet on the Oregon Coast. Further into Newport, the Nye Beach district is also popular with visitors. Two golf courses within a few miles of the house also provide a fun and challenging break from the beach; if you can break away from the beach, that is!

The house was clean,it had all the things we needed to make our stay comfortable. The private beach access was wonderful. We really enjoyed the hot tub.

Great house. Lots of room and close to the beach. Will definitely recommend to my friends and family. Unfortunately, no hot tub. Was notified prior to arrival that it was not working.

Overall great stay. Just a few things to consider to better accommodate your guests. Cell service is very limited in and near home. Having guests bring a booster for better WiFi could help. Make sure listing is accurate. Thank you for crediting us 245 for the non working hot tub. We appreciate the willingness to make this right. Please consider vacuuming under nightstands, skylights, and windows where lots of cobwebs and bugs reside. We stayed for an entire week. Here are some items we had to go buy…Trash bags, dish soap, hand soap, cookie sheets, and paper towels. Another trash tote outside would be great for those staying with families & for long extended times. Overall beautiful home for the age and price. Trail down to ocean is beautiful.

House was very clean and provided good utilities. The check in being at 4pm is very late but manageable. On top of having to check out at 10am! I definitely have some concerns! We had multiple people & dogs slip on the patio! Definitely needs pressure washed. The upstairs second bedroom closest were previously broken, tackstips going down stairs stabbed my kids feet, none the jets in the hot tub worked. Last was both shower head have a leak. We had a good time away from home but for the price, check in, check out time I personally don’t thing we will return for how much we paid!

Beds were comfy and the space was great for our needs. We liked the short walk to the private beach access. We didn't use the jacuzzi or grill. The kitchen was functional. Overall the house was homey, the location was good, and it was easy to find. We gave it 4 stars because even though it was clean enough, we thought it could use a good spring cleaning and could use a bath mat, washcloths, and a blow dryer.
