Getting around:
Peekskill is 20 minutes away, Cold Spring 25, Beacon 35 — all with excellent restaurants, farmers markets, galleries, and independent bookshops. ShopRite and big box stores are 10 minutes away; Trader Joe's is under 20. Hiking is exceptional — the Depew Park trails and the Appalachian Trail loop at Canopus Lake are favorites. About an hour by car to NYC, or 1 hour on Metro-North (Grand Central to Peekskill) plus a 20-minute drive.

Please note: this is a small, close-knit lake community where sound carries across the water. This property is ideal for quiet stays — couples, small families, remote workers, and creatives. Not suitable for parties or large gatherings.
