About the host

Hosted by Mackenzie Wright

Host profile image
Hi! I'm Mackenzie, the owner of Dakota Dream! My daughter, Madeline, and I are looking forward to having you stay with us.

I was raised in Portland, Oregon around rodeos with a love of horses, hunting and nature. While attending the Devil's Lake Law Enforcement Academy, I experienced and came to love the landscape of the Dakotas. My time in law enforcement was very rewarding, and I cherish my experience as a North Dakota peace officer and working with my K-9 Gunner.

Dakota Dream Bed & Breakfast and Horse Hotel is my "dream" to enable me to support and spend as much time as possible with my family. I enjoy interaction with people of all ages and I frequently use my K-9 Able to educate children and teens about the dangers of drugs.

Why they chose this property

With all the ambiance of a mountain retreat yet we can walk to town in 15 minutes! Our property is ideally located in the pines yet close to all the restaurants, parks, and national monuments.

What makes this property unique

Hospitality. Hospitality is more than just a word at Dakota Dream. Many of our guests return every year. And many have become true friends whom we stay connected to. My daughter Madeline and I couldn't be happier, greeting guests and making their (and our!) Dream come true.
