The Space:
This home and the surrounding Sea Ranch community are both featured in the July 11th, 2019 issue of the New York Times.
Experience the original utopian ideals of the Sea Ranch in a luxurious, modern interpretation at this brand-new home on the Sea Ranch Golf Links.
Paying homage to the original barns of the Sea Ranch homestead, and constructed using redwood, steel, and concrete-fiberglass composite panels, this single-level home blends function and beauty, indoor and outdoor living, and tranquility and comfort in one of Northern California's most extraordinary landscapes. You'll return home from beachcombing to radiant floor heating, a flatscreen TV that disguises itself as an art hanging when not in use, plus a gas grill and Adirondack chairs to enjoy in the sheltered courtyard. A hot tub and a private master suite await relaxing evenings spent stargazing and listening to the ocean waves. In the mornings, open the shades to watch deer and giant blue heron take their morning walks on the neighboring golf course.
This home is located on a quiet cul-de-sac at the north end of Sea Ranch, where it sits alongside the golf course's greens and fairways. You'll be just around the corner from the oceanfront Bluff Trail and Gualala Point Regional Park (a prime spot for seasonal whale watching), and only two miles north of the heated outdoor pool, saunas, and tennis courts at the Del Mar Recreation Center.
This home is even outfitted with an electric vehicle charger, allowing you to enjoy downtown Gualala's markets, restaurants, and galleries (one mile north) with ease.

The stars while in the hot tub with friends was amazing. Sea Ranch perfected! The property is gorgeous with stunning architecture. We enjoyed every moment.
The house was lovely and capitalized on the beautiful scenery around the home. Being able to lay in bed and see the ocean was so enjoyable. Very quiet neighborhood with easy access to walking trails. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very clean. Dust bunnies in corners and under things, some musty smells in the guest house room, but overall we can’t wait to go back.

Great design while being a smart, comfortable and tastefully done
This is a fantastic home that embodies a more modern Sea Ranch design while maintaining its ethos. Very comfortable and well appointed. Would not hesitate to recommend. One of the few at Sea Ranch like this.

Beautiful home, disappointing upkeepThis property has gorgeous architecture and so much potential, but unfortunately, poor management really detracted from our stay. We found bugs in nearly every electrical outlet and reported it right away, but instead of anyone coming to address it, we only received a canned “we’re working on it” message. There’s visible mold on the ceiling, several appliances are barely functional, and the kitchen is stocked with dull knives and worn-out pans. It’s such a shame, because with proper maintenance and attention to detail, this could be an incredible rental.I hope the owners find someone better to upkeep this home.

Other than delightful daily walks along the cliffs in the unceasing rain, we spent the bulk of our time cooking, dining, and catching up with each other. The house was perfect for our needs, with all the culinary tools, audiovisual resources, and beauty (both internal and external, thanks to the ceiling to floor windows) needed to feed the soul. The one disappointment was the hot tub, which appeared in the photos to be top notch, but did not function particularly well (e.g., couldn't get above 100 degrees our first 2 days, and jets did not fully function). Will be important to rectify ASAP, given the tariff charged to renters...

Come for the view!
Gorgeous view here and very peaceful.
We stayed here for three full days and except for garbage day (Wednesday) you wouldn’t think anyone else lived here.
This property has an induction cooktop - Mentioning this here in case you prefer to bring your own pots or pans. I’ve found that in most homes that have nonstick cookware, the pans are not in good shape. I usually bring my own nonstick frying pan but it did t work with this stove. The nonstick cookware should be replaced here, but they had a cast iron pan that worked well. I re-seasoned the pan for them.
The shades for the windows let plenty of natural light in.
The guest house (second bedroom) across the gravel walkway was nice. The shower has a floor to ceiling sliding window/door that leaves you a bit exposed. I’m not shy so it didn’t matter but thought some may find the info useful.
Lastly, all if our luggage, ice chest, etc were wheeled - it was a little challenging to get them across the gravel into the house (not really a fault with the property - the four of us were all in our sixty’s) but maybe good to know if you have mobility issues.
Lastly, most places have few electrical outlets. This place has them everywhere which was great because we were here on a crafting vacation. If you usually only pack cables to charge your devices, bring the plus too. There aren’t any USB connections here, but you can find plenty of places to charge! There are even outlets in the floors!!
A small plus - some of the places we’ve stayed at barely have enough plates, bowls, glassware, etc. to get through one meal without having to wash everything for the next meal. This had plenty.
Vacasa was super easy to work with.
I definitely recommend this property for your next stay.

Serene, modern architecture getaway
We’ve stayed at Sky Fall a few times and each time it’s been perfect. It’s a remarkable example of modern architecture in Sea Ranch. The home is beautiful and comfortable, and the views are amazing. We will surely be back again!

Stunning architecture & view. Ocean waves and milkyway from hot tub.
We absolutely loved this property. It had amazing modern architecture with a beautiful vaulted roof and a huge wall of windows. Plus the hot tub was heated and ready for us on arrival. The first night we watched the milkyway and heard the waves crashing from the hot tub. Customer support was very responsive and Linda from the main office took care of the one issue we had. Will be back again! Also the location is wonderful for day trips along the coast.

Skyfall Is SPECTACULAR‼️‼️
The architecture of this house is GORGEOUS along with the owners interior taste. We’ve been renting houses in Sea Ranch for 35+ years & have never stayed in a house where we had to pull shades down. Highly recommend!

Restful Retreat in Beautiful Sea Ranch
Skyfall was beautiful, very comfortable, and on a quiet/private cul-de-sac, making for a restful escape. The location is fantastic - only minutes from Gualala for groceries and steps from the trails for a hike or to watch the sunset. Wildlife is your entertainment, crashing waves are the soundtrack to every evening, and the stars & Milky Way are spectacular, especially viewed from the hot tub! The only downside was having to leave.
This house is so beautiful and elegant, and at the same time completely livable. We really enjoyed our 4 day stay, and we spent about half of it just relaxing on the property because we didn't want to leave. The only thing I hadn't realized was that it's right off the golf course, but we quickly realized that the golfers couldn't really see into the house much during the day. The hot tub was wonderful, the side house have my mother in law (and us) some extra privacy, and the kitchen was fun to cook in. And that view with those gorgeous huge windows! Very nice stay would love to come back.

Great Stay!
This house was exactly as described - attention to detail was impressive. There were two architects and a builder in our party and all were really impressed with the design. Deer at the windows every day and a short walk to the Coastal Trail. The hot tub was a big plus. Thank you for sharing your home.
The house was absolutely incredible, and especially more so during a pandemic. It’s a short walk to the coastal trail that goes for miles down the coast, with lots of secluded beaches that you can have all to yourself. The space gets a ton of light, and in the afternoon you can often see deers grazing out the window. The kitchen is well stocked with all the cooking supply you would need. The space is very well designed; you can tell the owners and the architects put a lot of thought into creating a comfortable yet luxurious living environment. We can’t wait to come back here!

Ocean Views in Sea Ranch, California
Beautiful and well thought through modern house in unique Sea Ranch California planned coastal community. Unique property in a unique location. I would be happy to stay here again.
A beautiful and modern interpretation of Sea Ranch
My wife and I stayed for two nights at Skyfall, and we only wish that we could have stayed for longer. The house is in a beautiful location with a view over the golf course. It is convenient to Gualala as well as the whale-watching and bluff trails. The kitchen was well-appointed, the rooms and living areas were clean, and we had no trouble operating any of the appliances or features. We can't wait to return to Sea Ranch, and we'd be happy to stay at Skyfall again.
