About the host
Your host
We're Mitchell and Felipe, a couple of well-traveled New Yorkers who happen to be utterly obsessed with Ogunquit. Mitchell's family has been coming to this corner of the Maine coast since the early '80s, and when he brought Felipe for the first time, it was love at first lobster roll. Sharing this place with guests is genuinely our favorite part of owning it. We know what makes a stay feel special, and we've tried to bring all of that to District of Maine.
Why they chose this property
Ogunquit is the rare place that has it all without feeling like it's trying too hard. The beaches here are simply the best - long, wide, and breathtaking in every season. The town is walkable and full of life: incredible restaurants, the freshest lobster you'll ever eat, charming shops, and a nightlife scene that surprises people in the best way. It's genuinely family-friendly but never boring. We keep coming back because no matter how many places we travel, nothing quite compares to a day in Ogunquit.
What makes this property unique
The District of Maine sits in a sweet spot that's hard to find: quiet and tucked away, but just a 10-minute walk from the beach and everything downtown. You get the peace without the tradeoff. The home has three bedrooms and a wide-open kitchen designed for gathering, plus outdoor space we're genuinely proud of, a fire pit for cool Maine nights, a BBQ for long summer evenings, and plenty of room to spread out and exhale. It's the kind of place where you arrive and immediately feel like you can slow down.
