About this property

Sanctuary Farm Log Cabin Mountain Getaway, Alberton, MT

Experience Montana in this charming log cabin, complete with wood stove and forest views. Hike, snowshoe, watch wildlife, grill hot dogs at the outdoor fire circle, or stay in and have a glass of wine while watching Dances with Wolves. Take a conscious rest from your busy day to day. Retreat into nature's quiet for an earth friendly stay. Now with Starlink internet.

Staying in the guest log cabin is a wonderful experience. It offers peace and quiet in the midst of a busy, crazy world. There is a whole wall of books on a wide range of subjects. If you need a bit of peace in your life, this is the stay for you! The back porch has a picnic table and a charcoal grill, and now a privacy fence as well. There are 3 beds... a sleep number queen, a twin, and a pull out full. Everything you need is provided.... washer/dryer, firewood, microwave, pots and pans, fridge, toaster over... just bring yourself and some food to cook!

The cabin is ecologically friendly, complete with composting, recycling, scrap bucket for the chickens, and composting toilet. We also have most of the modern amenities, including hot water, fast internet, and modern design.

We are a homestead farm complete with perma-culture gardens, goats, chickens, sheep, dogs and cats. We make handmade soap, milk the goats, and putter around our garden most days. We enjoy giving tours and talking gardening and homesteading.

The perfect quiet spot for me and my family while on vacation. We wanted to a spot in the mountains that was simple and made us feel like home and this was beyond perfect. We hope to come back again.
