The home is clean, bright, and thoughtfully updated with quality finishes throughout. The fully equipped kitchen shines with modern touches and opens to a large wraparound deck with peaceful water views, patio furniture, and a grill that is piped directly to the propane tank so you never run out while cooking. Upstairs you will find a bedroom with a king bed and a bedroom with a queen bed along with a full bath, living, kitchen and dining area. The walk out lower level features an additional bedroom with a full bed, a second living room with sofa and futon, desk area, laundry area, and another full bath, providing plenty of space and privacy for couples or families. The home comfortably sleeps six.

Kayaks and a dinghy are included for guest use, along with paddles and life jackets. If you plan to fish, please be sure to bring your fishing gear and tackle. Garretts Pond is well known for great freshwater fishing.

A Barnstable beach pass is included, and the home is perfectly positioned for exploring the Cape. It is just a short drive to Barnstable Village, Mass Audubon trails, and bay beaches such as Sandy Neck and Millway, as well as Craigville Beach on Nantucket Sound.

We are Adrienne and Shane, lifelong Cape Cod residents who still live on the Lower Cape with our two children. We purchased this home in 2018 and have been continuously improving it ever since. Each winter we take on projects ourselves, from landscaping and yard work to dock upgrades and full interior renovations. In 2025, we completed the final phase of the downstairs renovation, making the home fully updated throughout.

We truly love this home and use it ourselves whenever we can. Some of our favorite moments are off season evenings by the fire pit, fishing from the kayaks, grilling on the deck with pond views, and relaxing inside by the fireplace with a movie. We love everything about Cape Cod, the ocean, the beaches, and the sunsets, and we enjoy sharing that experience with our guests. Our goal is to provide a space that feels clean, comfortable, and like a true home away from home.

Why they chose this property

We chose West Barnstable for its unique combination of privacy and convenience. It has a quiet, peaceful, Old Cape feel with nature all around, yet it is still centrally located so you can easily explore everything the Cape has to offer. Being on Garretts Pond was a huge part of that decision. The pond setting is calm and beautiful, and having direct access right from the backyard is something truly special.

We also love how close it is to so many great spots, from Sandy Neck Beach and Barnstable Harbor to walking trails, villages, and restaurants. You can spend the day at the beach or out exploring, then come back to a quiet waterfront setting at the end of the day.
