About the host
Hosted by Doug or Kerri
Originally from Chicago, I have been coming up here since I was a child. This is where my love for the outdoors / water activities were formed. My parents still own the little house at the far East end of the property (we have 3 parcels total). My husband, Doug, grew quite fond of the area too and we've shared many fun times with family and friends. We have been fortunate to move up to Grand Haven full time, living only 10 minutes away from the property. We all decided why not share a little piece of this with all of you. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
This is our little slice of heaven along the Grand River in Grand Haven, MI. Our property is at the end of a private road and has been in the family for decades. We have 3 parcels. One of which the family still has a home on. One has an RV on that we rent out (this listing) and the far West parcel is just land that we rent for others to bring their own RV (Hipcamp). We fondly refer to it as One Grand Place. It is close enough to town but far enough away for peace, quiet and relaxation.
Spring Lake, Lake Michigan, beaches, various state/county parks, downtown Grand Haven's shops, restaurants and festivals are just a short drive away. Approx. 20 minutes away. Holland is about 30 minutes south and also has a cute downtown, craft beers, and beaches. PJ Hoffmaster State Park is 30 minutes North. If you are a thrill seeker Michigan's Adventure Amusement and Waterpark is only 40 minutes North in Muskegon. There are also many wineries, ciders and craft beer in Southwest Michigan. And many blueberry farms around too. Bottom line....there is plenty of things to do and see during your visit...or not. Totally up to you.

What makes this property unique
Location! Location! Location.
We are not a campground and we are not a business. This is a fun hobby for us that we enjoy bringing other people joy and a place to come to that is not a crowded campground. A place you have all to yourself where you can feel you have your very own summer place away from home. You can do as much as you want in the area or truly just check out and relax. And I must say, we have some of the most spectacular sunsets!!
