My spry stepfather lives downstairs in a one-bedroom apartment and completely respects guests' privacy.

This is an absolutely stunning property. This modern home is nestled into a picturesque mountain setting with unlimited views of the foliage and river. We enjoyed all the amenities of modern living while feeling connected to nature, we even saw adult and immature Bald Eagles - a first for me here! We've been visiting this area for over 20 years for our anniversary and were lucky to find this gem. Close access to all the sites we love to visit. The host was responsive and helpful with a few questions we had. His stepfather resides in the apartment downstairs and keeps to himself. We did encounter him maintaining the property from time to time but there was no interference in our stay. We enjoyed sitting on the 2nd story deck or we would walk down to the riverside to enjoy the soothing sounds of the rushing water. This was the peaceful getaway we imagined. If you are new to the area check out the Mountain Brauhaus, Ollie's, The Roost or Creekside restaurants just to name a few. Sites to visit Mohonk Mountain House, Minnewaska State Park, Awosting Falls. It's perfectly ok to just sit back and enjoy the view from your private balcony or lay in bed with full view of the landscape - simply stunning! We look forward to staying again, thanks again to the host for sharing his home with us!
