Villa "Casa Galesa" with Outdoor Pool

Our spacious home, situated on the select private development of Tropicana is an easy stroll to the beach. The beautifully maintained property benefits from 3 large terraces providing sun and shade at all times of the day and is just across the road from the mile-long Playazo beach with its selection of bars and seafood restaurants. Set between the magnificent backdrop of the Almijara mountains and the Mediterranean coastline, this delightful house is only two minutes stroll from the attractive swimming pool and restaurant complex which is only for the private use of Tropicana residents and their guests. Parking is no problem with easy access directly outside. Taxi into Nerja is only 6 euros which only takes 5 minutes. Taking in the beautiful scenery the walk into Nerja along the flat beach road (lit at night) only takes about 25 minutes and is one of the highlights of the holiday.
At ground level is the comfortable, bright, lounge/dining room with beautiful cane furniture, a modern fully-equipped kitchen, cloakroom with toilet and washbasin. Two sets of patio doors lead from the lounge/dining room onto the large terraces.
On the first level is the master bedroom which has 1 double bed, whilst the second bedroom has 2 single beds and they both have large fitted wardrobes.
There is also a bathroom with bath/shower, bidet, toilet and washbasin.
On the second level there are two bedrooms each with 1 double bed, large fitted wardrobes and a set of patio doors leading on to the third terrace.
At this level is a spacious shower-room including bidet, toilet and washbasin.
Two small wall safes are available for the safe-keeping of your valuables.

Nerja and area
The old town of Nerja, only 45mins from Malaga airport, boasts beautiful sandy blue flag beaches, all within easy reach of the house. Its quaint narrow winding alleys surrounded by white washed houses and shops and restaurants will provide endless memorable evenings out.
Nearby are the Nerja caves (some of the best in Europe, simply breathtaking), the famous Frigiliana village is 10mins drive, nearby golf courses and in the winter the Sierra Nevada mountains are 90 mins drive.
The sandy Playazo beach is one of the few remaining unspoilt beaches with several rustique tapas bars, only a short stroll away.

This was a lovely house with easy access to the shared pool, which was never very busy.We had everything that we needed and were very Comfortable. It was a bit further from the centre of Nerja than I had expected but we just used buses and taxis (it was about a 30 minute walk along the beach)Overall we had a fantastic time and wouldCome back. Pros: We were 7 adults staying a week in mid March. It was nice and quiet with easy access to shopping and restaurants a little disstance from central Nerja. One may walk to Nerja, but own car is recommended in particular for shopping. The house/appartment provided very good value for money.

There was lots of hot water and there were 5 of us and we didn’t ever run out. At other properties on Tropicana it has been an issue in the past. The weather was very kind to us and we had a great week. I would recommend this property to others.

Pros: Our Dutch family, eight persons varying in age from 2 to 67 years, spent a wonderful time in Nerja in June 2012. We loved the house, the many beaches, the nearby swimming pool, the surroundings and restaurants. Moreover, the location offered many possibilities for day-trips. Th owner kindly offered several suggestions. The highlights for us were our visit to Granada and the lovely evenings we spent on the terrace of the house with its lovely view.
If we have to mention a disadvantage, it would be the size of the bedrooms and beds. They are rather small.
We can certainly recommend this lovely house, but we think that it is more suitable for 6 than 8 persons.

Pros: We had a fantastic holiday, renting this villa for 9 people: 5 kids aged 3-12 and 4 adults. Would definitely recommend it for big families. Booking process went smoothly, no trouble at all. Location was very good for us, quiet street, nearby swimming pool and sea with clean beach, 7-10 minutes walk away, never overcrowded. Local manager and the owner were both very helpful when we had a problem or a question, responded straight away, big thank you to them, they made our holiday run smoothly.
Commuting to the centre of Nerja was by taxi, 8-9 euros one way, or by bus, that we used a lot. Bus is only €1 per person, scheduled once an hour, only 7 minutes to the centre with all the shops, cafes and restaurants.
We travelled to Gibraltar for a day and to Malaga, buying bus tickets at the Tropicana Club reception. Went to see Nerja Caves taking a bus from the bus station and did a good three hours of kayaking from Burriana beach.
We ordered a takeaway paella from the local Paraiso de Nerja and carried it home in two huge hot saucepans, which obviously we had to return after. It looked fantastic (if only I could attach a photo) and tasted even better. Avalon restaurant, also only 5 minutes walk from the villa, had excellent food, service and amazing views.

Pros: We stayed at a property at Urbanizacion Tropicana outside Nerja. Property was large (4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 3 toilets, a kitchen and a living room plus 3 terraces) with a wonderful view on the Sierra de Almijara. Contact with the owner is good and gaining access to the property as instructed by the owner went without a glitch.
Communal bar/pool area is always close as Tropicana is a small park. Pool is clean and safe, food is highly recommended. We ate some of the best Spanish dishes over there. Reception next to the pool/bar area has bus schedules available plus you can book excursions or rent a car.
Outside the park the Playazo beach is nearby behind the Marinas de Nerja resort which is located on the main road between Torre del Mar and Nerja and beyond. This beach is large and a little rocky but still good enough for a good swim plus most facilities at the resort are also open for non-guests. There's a road to Nerja along the beach and this part can be crowded with Spanish families spending weekends. It surely gives this part of the beach an authentic feel.
Nerja itself is a lovely place. It's busy but not crowded. We were with nine persons but never had trouble finding space at the many terraces and restaurants.
Tropicana is located outside Nerja so you might considering to rent a car, especially if you want to do some groceries. But if you don't mind walking like us you can also take the bus to Nerja and/or Malaga as there are bus stops at the Marina de Nerja resort. Taxis to and from Tropicana to Nerja are € 7.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tropicana and would recommend it to anyone.

Pros: Huset var stort och modernt med tre stora uteplatser. Det låg i ett trevligt område nära till den kommunala poolen. Dock är det längre till havet än vad som står och det finns inga butiker så nära som 300 meter. Det finns en bar/restaurang som kan sälja lite frukost men annars måste man ta sig in till Nerja vilket är en promenad på cirka 2 km längs med havet. Bra boende med ett bra pris i ett mycket lugnt område.

Aber der schöne Ausblick, die verschiedenen Terrassen, die gepflegte Umgebung und Nähe zum Strand haben uns mehr als entschädigt.
Die Vermieter sind sehr nett, auch wenn alle Instruktionen nur per email in Englisch kommen. Aber es hat alles geklappt und wir haben alles gefunden. Wir waren eine Freizeitgruppe mit 8 Leuten. Einen Mietwagen sollte man schon haben.

Pros: Vi afhold også sommerferie i 2011 i samme hus hvor vi påpejede at paresolfoden var gået i stykker. Da vi kom tilbage i år 2012 var den stadigvæk ikke skiftet ud med en anden.
Det er et hus i flere etagser. På den nederste del manglede der lys på trappen. Vi ringede til vores kontaktperson der efterfølgende kom med nogle el-pære som han lagde på stuebordet. Problemet var bare at der skulle bruges en skruetrækker for at kunne skifte el-pæren. Så vi kunne ikke skifte dem.
Vi er ellers glade for området samt huset.

Pros: Vi var 8 voksne personer som bodde i huset. Det var god plass, mye større enn forventet. Flott beliggenhet og koselige folk som jobbet på restauranten. Rent og ryddig i hele Tropicana. Det er en liten butikk nede ved stranden /hotellet hvor du får kjøpt det mest nødvendige som vann, melk , brød , toalettsaker. Litt dyrere enn på supermarkedet. Vi fant ut at supersol supermarked var en grei butikk. Du bør ha bil hvis du leier hus i Tropicana, da det er en god halvtime å gå inn til byen og supermarkedet. Men spaserturen er fin, og man kan ta taxi tilbake for ca 7 euro. Linjebussen går
hver time, og kostet 1 euro. Badestranden var fin, ikke overfylt som det var på Burriana. Vi hadde en flott ferie, og kunne tenke oss å reise tilbake hit.

Pros: Et dejligt hus til prisen. Huset ligger i rolige omgivelser, perfekt til børnefamilien. Huset har alt hvad man skal bruge, men virker dog lidt nedslidt. Men alt i alt er det et rigtigt godt hus.
Fra Malaga er der ca. 45 min i bil, og til Nerja ca. 5 min i bil.
