Why they chose this property
The Scene & What I Enjoy Most
What makes this neighborhood special is the profound silence. Lake Holm is a non-combustion motor lake, meaning you won’t hear jet skis or loud engines—only the sound of paddles hitting the water, the wind through the red cedars, and the "unbelievable" morning chorus of birds.
The scene is one of constant, quiet movement: morning mist rolling off the 19-acre lake, bald eagles hunting from the Douglas firs, and the soft glow of the sunset reflecting off the glass of the sauna. I enjoy the Nordic rhythm of life here—starting with yoga on the 156ft of wild shoreline, a quiet afternoon paddle, and ending with a wood-fired reset. It’s a community where "neighbors" are often the local wildlife.
Best Attractions in Auburn
While the cabin is a sanctuary, Auburn itself serves as the "Gateway to Mt. Rainier" and offers a mix of high-energy entertainment and historical charm:
Outdoor Adventure:
Flaming Geyser State Park: Just 7 miles away, perfect for hiking scenic trails, watching fall salmon runs, or river rafting.
Washington National Golf Course: A premier public course located just 5 minutes from the property.
Soos Creek Botanical Garden: A 22-acre hidden gem with stunning flower gardens and peaceful walking trails.
Entertainment & Culture:
White River Amphitheatre: A massive outdoor venue that hosts major global touring artists against a mountain backdrop.
Emerald Downs: A premier horse racing track that offers a fun, high-energy atmosphere during the racing season.
Muckleshoot Casino Resort: One of the largest gaming destinations in the state with top-tier dining and nightlife.
White River Valley Museum & Mary Olson Farm: To get a sense of the local heritage, these spots offer a charming look at the region’s railroad and Japanese-American history.
Shopping & Dining:
The Outlet Collection: A massive indoor outlet mall for those looking for a "city" day.
Downtown Auburn: A growing hub of local shops and our partner bakery
