Family Friendly Cabin on the Yakima River! Private Sauna, Cold Plunge & Hot Tub
Marmot Lodge was built for the weekends when everyone comes — grandparents, cousins, and the kids all under one roof. Four bedrooms, a four-bed bunk room, a hot tub, and the largest of the three cabins on Yakima River Club's 200 private acres. If Cutty is the cabin for two and Huckleberry is the cabin for one family, Marmot is the cabin for everyone.

About the host
Hosted by John Goldman
We're a small team that operates the Yakima River Club — a cluster of cabins on the river just east of Snoqualmie Pass. Most of our guests come for the same reasons we do: to fish, ski, ride, paddle, or just take a few days where the loudest thing is the current. We host couples and solo travelers looking for a quiet stretch on the river, families that take over a single cabin for a weekend, and larger groups who book two or three cabins together for reunions, weddings, ski trips, and fishing parties. We pay attention to the things that actually matter on a trip: clean linens, a hot tub that's actually clean, fast Wi-Fi, real coffee, and a kitchen you can cook a real meal in. We're easy to reach during your stay. If you have questions before you book — river access, ski conditions, whether the road in is plowed, restaurant recommendations, or how to put together a multi-cabin booking for a bigger group — message us!
Why they chose this property
Easton is a small mountain community on the Yakima River, 75 minutes from downtown Seattle and 20 minutes east of Snoqualmie Pass. The Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail (the old John Wayne route) runs right through town — bikeable, hikeable, or groomed for snowshoeing depending on the season — and Lake Easton is two minutes up the road. Cle Elum, Roslyn (the Northern Exposure town), and Suncadia are all about 15 minutes east if you want a resort dinner, a bakery run, or coffee that wasn't made in your kitchen.
It's a year-round recreation area. Summer is built around the water — blue-ribbon trout fishing, rafting, tubing, swimming, and grilling on the deck through long Pacific Northwest evenings. Fall brings mountain biking on the trail networks above us and gold cottonwoods along the banks. Winter swaps in cross-country skiing on the Cascades trail, snowshoeing into real silence, and downhill skiing back at the pass. Spring is wildflowers, high water, and wide-open availability.
What makes this property unique
This cabin is one of three at the Yakima River Club — a small cluster we operate on a quiet bend of the river just east of Snoqualmie Pass. Marmott is built around an outdoor cedar sauna, cold plunge, and hot tub set up for back-to-back use — the Nordic rotation a few of the longer-running cabins up here do on Sunday afternoons. Sleeps ten, full kitchen, Starlink Wi-Fi, and big windows. It books most often around active weekends — ski recovery, post-race, post-fishing, post-ride. The cluster itself is the part of the property that's harder to find elsewhere. Most cabins book independently, but a meaningful share of our stays are groups taking over two or three units together — weddings, multi-generational holidays, ski weekends, fishing parties. Cutty Cabin is our two-person unit, set up for couples. Huckleberry House sleeps eight and is built for family-style gatherings. The cabins are walkable to each other along the river, and we can help coordinate a multi-cabin booking. Book Marmott on its own for a recovery weekend, or pair it with one or both of the others if your group is bigger.
