About this property

The Eagle's Nest- Remodeled Waterfront Home with Wraparound Deck, Water Views, & Beach Access

Wake up to panoramic views of the Medomak River at this two-bedroom plus loft Waldoboro retreat—a private waterfront haven with a beautifully remodeled interior, wrap-around deck, and direct access to the river, Muscongus Bay, and the open Atlantic. Enjoy spectacular sunrises and serene moonlit nights from this idyllic perch.

Set amid 11 acres of wildflower meadows and fireflies, this two-level home rests on the western banks of the Medomak River, just five miles south of downtown Waldoboro. You'll be a short paddle from where the river meets Muscongus Bay, and only 21 miles from the art galleries, restaurants, and scenic breakwater of Rockland. Keep an eye out for bald eagles, ospreys, seals, and other coastal wildlife.

A long private driveway leads to ample parking and a peaceful waterfront setting. Inside, the open living space has been fully remodeled with hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, and a wall of windows framing the water. After a day of kayaking, unwind on the comfortable sofa, play cards around the glass coffee table, or stream a movie on the large flatscreen TV. The home offers WiFi, a washer/dryer, and inviting spaces to relax.

The fully renovated kitchen features stainless steel appliances, generous counter space, and all the essentials for preparing Maine-inspired meals. Gather at the breakfast bar or six-person dining table, and when the weather's warm, step outside to grill and dine on the deck while soaking up the stunning views.

Outdoors, spend your days kayaking or canoeing, basking in the sun on the wrap-around deck, or exploring more than 400 feet of private tidal waterfront with Maine's classic granite rocks and tide pools. Inside, a second sitting room offers the perfect nook for reading or enjoying the coastal breeze through open glass doors.

The home accommodates up to six guests with two bedrooms, a loft, and two-and-a-half bathrooms. The open loft-style primary bedroom overlooks the river and great room below, offering a king bed and private bath. On the main floor, you'll find one bedroom with a queen bed and another with twin bunk beds—ideal for families or friends traveling together.

Located along scenic Route 1, this property places you in the heart of Midcoast Maine's natural beauty. Visit nearby Waldoboro's Main Street for local shops and dining, or follow the river south to the historic Pemaquid Point Lighthouse. Explore downtown Rockland for seaside charm and top-tier dining, including the award-winning restaurant Primo. Camden Hills State Park—known for its panoramic ocean views and vibrant autumn colors—is just 26 miles away. Boothbay Harbor, the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, and even Acadia National Park are within reach for memorable day trips.

Your peaceful Midcoast Maine escape awaits at this beautifully appointed Waldoboro waterfront home—where each sunrise, tide, and breeze reminds you why this place is unforgettable.

We really enjoyed staying here. The home was comfortable and had everything we needed. It was a great place to call home base as we experienced Maine for the first time.

Lovely setting, great house

The house was perfect for us, plenty of privacy and ample bathrooms. The kitchen is small but well-stocked with dishes, cooking utensils and appliances. The view is lovely of the tides going in and out, lots of wildlife, and a large deck on which to view it all and grill, read and relax!

Great home to unplug and relax

We loved the open concept loft style of the house; it lets a great amount of light in the house. The grill is also a great amenity; we ended up spending more time in the house than planned. Highly recommend it for a trip in Maine.

Vacation

Loved the house and seclusion. Not a bad drive to grocery stores or restaurants. Good seafood stores near by. Only negative I had was property management was no help the two times I contracted them . All in all I would stay again.

What a view!

Loved the overall feel of the home and the nature around it. The waterfront is rugged and fun to explore. The loft and atmosphere in the house is peaceful and quaint and our family enjoyed our time there. Waking up to the sunrise was our favorite part of the day.

The house is beautiful, and the view gorgeous. We enjoyed it very much!

The property is lovely, plenty of places to sit, privacy in bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms. It all worked well for us. The kitchen is a galley, and a bit difficult for group cooking, but well-stocked with dishes and cookware. We saw some nice wildlife, and enjoyed both low and high tide on the river. The deck is huge, and so is the grill.

Great stay - great location

Awesome stay in the PD. Eastman house! Some old flowers were left in the kitchen that attracted a bunch of fruit flies, and the “clean” dishes weren’t very clean, but that was a pretty minor inconvenience. Everything else was very clean and in working condition, and the view was amazing. Would rent again.

Relaxing and beautiful

We were a little worried with how we were pretty secluded with three teenagers but, we had a great time just hanging out, checking out our surroundings and the wild life around the house. We made a couple ventures out to see the lighthouse and have breakfast and get some games. ^Bright in the early mornings (5:00), bring a sleep mask if that will wake you.

Lofty luxury

Beautiful home on the water. Loved exploring the shoreline and watching the sunrise over the water. The home is cozy and has everything you need. King bed in the loft is comfortable but bunk beds are a bit hard for an adult. Only negative might be that people walking in the loft can be heard below in the bedrooms, otherwise our whole family loved it.

Beautiful property in peaceful location

We truly enjoyed our week here! The property and the sunrises are incredible. We had a lot of fun hanging on the deck and down by the river. The house is in a quiet location, but not far from Camden, Rockland and other towns. The only negative was the housekeeping, which was mostly fine, but the trash was full when we got there, and we had to buy some cleaning supplies that we couldn’t find in the house. But overall it was an amazing stay and we would 100% go back!
