Scenic, country home

Beautiful place, and we loved that it was clearly lived in. Like visiting your grandma, if your grandma had a beautiful country home in midcoast coast Maine, and a good sense of organization! My favorite part might have been the well-appointed kitchen. Would have been perfect for a big friend group with long meals in the dining room cooled by a great cross-breeze, with gorgeous views on either side. Thank you so much to Rick and Sarah for sharing their home and for being such accommodating hosts.

The Fox Meadow rental was as described: private, in a nature preserve with a nice water view, a beautiful house and within a half hour of everything you might want or need. A path to the water leads to a rocky beach, explorable at low tide. Watch out for ticks. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and serve. The dining area has a wonderful direct water view. We rented for two weeks. The first we invited friends to join and the second we hosted a family get-together. Both went very well and all, of all ages, seemed to be comfortable in the space. Activities included visits to the Farnsworth Museum and lunches at Jameson Point Lobster. We also found farm markets in Warren and Thomaston and baked goods at a farm in Cushing. The hosts, Sarah and Rick, were very pleasant and easily reached, helpful in answering all our questions. Highly recommended.
