Such a beautiful place!! Very clean inside and out! Lots of room for everyone to spread out! We had wonderful weather and spent much time just enjoying the water views. Swimming, kayaking and bird watching were also a lot of fun! Samantha was wonderful to work with—very responsive before and during our trip! She provides all essentials and then some! Sunsets were amazing!

Where do I start? The property was absolutely spectacular. There was space for everyone, we had 14 in our party. Samantha was always available for my many questions. The house is well stocked.We hired a private chef for the week (Kat Koster ) this made the trip a true vacation for all!! When you’re looking for a house there are other houses that show better, but I can assure you that this house has everything you could possibly need. Samantha is a five star owner that takes great pride in her property.

Awesome Family Vacation

Absolutely gorgeous view with plenty of space for everyone! This was our second year in a row at this property and once again it did not disappoint! Such a perfect property for an extended family getaway, we had the best time!!!

A+ Family Reunion Site

We had a great stay with extended family at this property. Customer Service was top notch, super responsive and helpful, going above and beyond to answer questions and make our stay a great one. Lots of fishing, swimming, boating, kayaking, lobster eating and yard games. Super fun location.

Better internet is on the way! Options have been limited to our area in the past but we are now on the list to have cable internet installed on the property which will be much quicker and more reliable than the dsl connection we have now, unfortunately they have put us off until after Labor Day. It is in the works of being improved very soon though. Thank you for bearing with us on that and I’m so glad that you enjoyed the property and your time in Maine! We hope you’ll come back and stay with us again :)

Family Hideaway

This setting alowed our family to spend quality time relaxing and enjoying the coast of Maine. The firepit, outdoor eating area including the grill, lobster pot, hot tub, and game room were all hits! Thank you for the amazing oceanview and sunsets.

Perfect family getaway!

3 generations from PA, GA & TX had a great week at the property! Samantha was super helpful in communicating and confirming questions we had prior to arrival. The house was super clean. We had lobster from the local waterman 2x plus sampled lobster rolls from various local eateries. We made a day trip to Acadia and Cadillac Mountain. My favorite spot was the cottage deck or firepit to enjoy the beautiful sunsets and ocean views. Thank you for sharing your amazing property!

Great stay!

My family of 15 had a superb time in Cushing! The house was clean and well-stocked, and the view is breathtaking! We can not say enough about how amazing the property manager, Samantha, is! She’s the BEST we’ve experienced in 11 years of rentals. We highly recommend staying at this lovely, very well managed property. Again, Samantha and the views made our stay truly magical.

A piece of heaven

We had the absolute best time. We spent most of our time on the dock and in the kayaks. The house is a little remote but we didn’t mind the drives to Rockland and Camden at all! The cousins ranged 5-20 years old and all were so happy all week! Plenty of space for 5 families to spread out. Only downside I would say is that if anyone has mobility issues the stairs and walk up and down to the dock could be tough. Just something to mention!

Best Famy Vacation in Years!!

Loved Maine in all it's splendor, keeping our eye on hurricane Lee and deciding to stick it out. It was the best decision we could have made. Weather turned nice, beautiful sunsets followed by a day of wind and rain and it was over!

Family vacation

We had a great time at this property. It worked well for our family to have so many rooms, and the bunk house and pull out couches were great for the kids and teenagers. The view of the ocean was gorgeous and it was the perfect place for kayaking and paddle boarding on down days. The host was quick to respond to questions or concerns. Overall it was a great experience.

Cushing R&R 2021

Property was located in a beautiful cove with views that were amazing. Excellent space for large groups but intimate enough for a small reunion of friends as there was plenty of space to spread out. House was well appointed. Overall a great experience on the Maine coast, great area to hit all the mid coast attractions and small quaint towns along the coast.

The owner made a special arrangement for a request that we had. Everything was set up for our arrival. The property exceeded our high expectations. It was easy to prepare and clean up meals for a crowd. They even provided cozy throws by the wide screen TV in the living room. The rental kayak delivery was icing on the cake. The information notebook was comprehensive.The views from house, cabin, dock and shore are spectacular. There are multiple places to Vgather inside and out. My only worry is that by saying how restorative it really is, I will be increasing the demand for Oceanside Retreat, making it harder for us to make reservation in the future.

Maine coast family reunion

Huge, spacious house for 12 adults and 2 children to spread out in for our week-long family reunion. Large main living area enabled us to be together very comfortably during cooking, eating, and many hours of visiting. The location was great and the view wonderful. Lovely, private property. The host was was always very prompt and helpful with the several inquiries made during the months before our stay. The only thing we didn’t anticipate was the remoteness of the house relative to the nearest towns and amenities.

The Best of the best

This property is truly a gem. The grounds offer so much between yard games, the dock for fishing and swimming, the hot tub for relaxing and the fire pit for fires and delicious s’mores. Location can’t be beat! The two houses easily handled our family with plenty of space, comfortable beds, and a basement offering movies projected onto a huge screen or throwing darts or playing pool. Every single box was checked with this rental!

Incredible property - stairs for anyone with mobility issues

Samantha was incredibly helpful and responsive. The property is beautiful with incredible sunsets and mesmerizing views. The house is well equipped and was super clean when we arrived. The main issue is the lack of photos of the outside of the house that would have clued us in that the main house wouldn't work for anyone with mobility issues (we have one person with us for whom multiple flights of stairs wouldn't have worked). If the main house had an outdoor deck or area to eat or anyway to get inside without multiple flights of stairs it would have been perfect. It totally worked out for us by spending all our time at the cottage and eating down there.

Family reunion

After a long year plus of COVID isolation we were able to gather our family of 12 for a fabulous week on the water. The property absolutely makes the place. We used the cottage as our main social center with the boathouse for sleeping children and quiet time. We got out on the water and in the water every day! The new Adirondack chairs were great and made creating multiple social centers so easy. Sunset and drinks on the dock. Dinner on the cottage deck and evenings around the fire pit.

Great house - even better than the photos!

This house and cottage was wonderful for our family group of 14, including 2 kids under 3. We especially loved the well stocked kitchen, big table and comfortable gathering area, fire pit, and lobster pot! Our group also appreciated the comfortable bedrooms with blackout curtains. Samantha, our host, was great, and easily accessible for any concerns we had or recommendations we needed. Honestly, we don’t think the online photos do this house justice - especially with the fantastic outdoor areas. The cottage deck, dock, fire pit circle and hot tub areas are spacious and the views are beautiful (we all ran outside on multiple evenings to take photos of the amazing sunsets). Overall a great, quiet place to get away, relax and enjoy Maine.
