Enjoyed our stay. Nice place and location. No soaps or shampoo when we got there, but were brought to us later.Old, creaky floors, but it was an old and well-kept place.

Charming Maine cabin

This cabin was charming for a weekend visit - quiet, beautiful, and peaceful location but close to downtown! This is a classic cabin feel but there was a little musty smell throughout and the bathroom could use some small improvements but overall a fun place to stay! The owner stopped by at checkout time to see how our stay was, which was very nice!

Wonderful cabin!

It was our first trip to Maine and stumbled on this gem. It is extremely close to Boothbay Harbor, which turned out to be a great centralized place to be able to explore the coast. It had nice amenities and served its purpose well. Wish the weather would have cooperated to allow us to try the kayaks.

Wonderful step back in time!

Loved the authenticity of the cabin. One gets a true feel for what it must have been like to stay here 50 to 100 years ago, but with today’s modern conveniences. Cabin was very clean and Vacasa was fabulous to deal with. We had a wonderful two days here!

Enjoyed the Log Cabin, wooded experience

Beautiful place! Our group of 4 was age 60+, so be aware of the somewhat steep entrance steps. We really enjoyed the screened in porch. Immediate response was received to replace a none working coffee maker. True cabin experience!

Unique stay in a historic log cabin

We had a nice and unique stay in a 1920s log cabin. We loved the screened in porch and additional outside seating areas. The kitchen was pretty well stocked and overall the house was clean (for being a cabin in the woods) but overall the cabin and upholstery in the living space could use a deep clean. Also just be prepared that this is a 1920s cabin with one 1920s bathroom. And you can hear pretty much everything, so if privacy is your concern, this isn't for you. Overall, we enjoyed our stay -- it was a unique woodsy retreat and the kids enjoyed it too! It's also very close to Barrett's Park.

Fall Fun in Maine

Rustic charm like I have not seen before. Be prepared to stay in a real log cabin, plank floors, pitched log walls and all. Rustic as I mentioned yet still has the creature comforts we like to take for granted, plenty of hot water, full kitchen including a dishwasher, and internet connection. If we get back I will stay there again for the big front porch and serene setting on the hillside above the water.

ME 1920s cabin in woodsy oceanside location

Very well kept up 1920's log cabin with plenty of space for 2-4 people. Pros were it has lots of atmosphere and is very close to lots of Boothbay Harbor area shops, restaurants and sight seeing spots. There wasn't a great reading spot inside the cabin and the overall lighting at night was darker than preferred. It was fairly priced for the features and size.

Very unique and historic accommodation! Pros: a nice screened in porch and additional outside seating areas, overall pretty clean, a well-equipped kitchen and large living space. The cabin is tucked into the wooded and secluded Sprucewold neighborhood. This is a 1920s log cabin and you are getting a 1920s bathroom as well -- it's doable, but just something to be aware of! With the nostalgia of the place comes the nostalgia of old appliances - which worked fine! You can also hear everything in this cabin, so if you are overly concerned with privacy this is not for you. Overall, just be mindful of what you are renting -- our kids enjoyed it and it was a unique and beautiful area.

Very nice place

It was very nice there, but for the money we spent it should have been much cleaner. We had some problems, like the garbage behind the place and not knowing what to do with our garbage, we left sat and the garbage gets put out on Monday. I hope nothing got into it after we left. Also the kitchen lights flicker when on but other then that had a great time.

Pretty and Rustic

Beautiful cabin in the woods. Close to everything that the Boothbay Region has to offer. The cabin is rustic, charming and has everything you need for modern amenities including great WiFi service. The history of the Sprucewold area is wonderful. The cabin was comfortable and has a ton of character. The only negative was the overnight temps combined with no heat made for an interesting morning. The cabin has a beautiful stone fireplace that we used for the evening but not overnight and space heaters are provided. I would absolutely rent this cabin again…maybe just a bit sooner in the season.

Rustic Elegance

Beautiful vintage cabin tucked into a hillside with a peekaboo view of the water. A great space with 3 bedrooms, 1 bath with claw foot tub/shower. Well stocked galley kitchen. No AC, however there were screen windows galore and several oscillating floor fans. Books and board games in the front cupboard. Our favorite part was the numerous outdoor spaces, including a screened porch with comfortable seating overlooking the front, side area with a circle of Adirondack chairs, and a layered deck with several seating and dining areas. This charming cabin built in the 1920’s provides a chance to step back in time to the Sprucewold era of seaside Maine.

Awesome!

Cabin was very nice! It was spacious and some furniture from original build was nice. Owner thought of everything with that you may have forgotten available for your use. Nice big original table for larger gathering an games. Fabulous screened in porch that we enjoyed whiled it rained in the evening. Mattresses where great!! Wish I knew what kind for my home.😊 all windows opened for a nice breeze and had fabulous pull down shades on them. Kayaks were also wonderful down at the bay with quick walk to them. Life jackets were provided too. Excellent sitting area off kitchen. Residents of the street very friendly. We absolutely loved our stay here!!
