Lovely week in Bar Harbor

We had the best time in Bar Harbor. Check in to our spot was very easy and the location was easy to find. We were so close to downtown that we could have walked but were tucked away in a quiet area which made everything so peaceful. We had all of the kitchen items that we needed for our meals and it made life incredibly easier being able to do laundry after days of hiking. Everything was clean and tidy. We had tons of space to spread out and nap/relax/read or play games. If we are able to make it back to Bar Harbor we hope to stay here again!

Property was generally clean, kitchen well appointed. Customer service was helful. Property, however, was shabby. Peeling paint, holes in walls, no hangers in closets.

The property is on the ground floor and has kind of a basement feel. It’s quite spacious with the two bedrooms being separated by the kitchen and a large living area. But it gets very little natural light and the outdoor seating space is basically in the driveway. So if you’re looking for a view or a pretty place to hang out, this isn’t it. Also, if the people in the unit above you are moving about then you can hear them, which isn’t ideal if you don’t have the same sleeping schedule. If you’re looking for a convenient location that’s about a 15 minute walk from Bar Harbor and has plenty of room for you and your family to spread out, then this is a good spot. We didn’t cook but the kitchen seemed perfectly functional and there’s a good table to all sit at and eat breakfast or play cards.

Thank you so much for sharing your detailed feedback about our home. We truly appreciate your insights, they help us and future guests get a clear picture of what to expect. It sounds like the spacious layout and convenient location worked well for your family, which is wonderful to hear. We understand that the limited natural light and the outdoor seating being in the driveway might not be ideal for those seeking a scenic spot to relax. Also, the noise from the home above can definitely be a challenge if sleep schedules don’t align. Your honest observations are very helpful. We’re here to help and want to ensure your next experience is just right for you. We hope you will give us the opportunity to host you again.
