About this property

Foosball + Firepit + BBQ | Near Lake + Slopes | Cherry Pine Chalet

Tall pines, a tucked-away lane, and a mountain hush broken only by birdsong, a crackling firepit, or a foosball victory shout from inside. That's Cherry Pine Chalet, a three-bedroom Big Bear cabin that pairs storybook alpine character with room enough to turn a long weekend into a real reset.

The interior opens up beneath a soaring wood-beamed ceiling, with the kitchen, dining, and living areas sharing one bright, connected space so nobody gets stuck on the sidelines. Cook a full pancake spread or a holiday feast in the well-equipped kitchen, then gather six around the dining table, with a few more perched at the counter. A foosball table holds court in its own bonus play zone, so settle the debate now about who's actually any good. When it's time to turn in, three bedrooms sleep up to ten across a king, a queen, two full beds, and a sleeper sofa — an easy fit for families, friend groups, or two households sharing the trip.

Step outside and the cabin really earns its keep. A wraparound deck wraps you in treetop views, with a firepit made for stargazing, a BBQ for grill nights, and an outdoor table for slow dinners under the pines. Coffee out here in the cool morning air might be the best part of the whole stay.

Big Bear Lake sits just minutes away, with marinas, paddleboarding, fishing, and lakeside trails filling the warm-weather days. Snow Summit and Bear Mountain are a quick drive for skiing and snowboarding in winter and mountain biking once the snow clears. The Village in Big Bear Lake brings restaurants, candy shops, and weekend events whenever a town day calls, and trails like Castle Rock and Pine Knot are close by for anyone who wants to earn their evening at the fire.

A real cabin tucked into real woods, with every comfort already handled. Bring the crew, the board games, and plenty of marshmallows.

Great location. Has been remodeled but still has that cabin feel. Clean and plenty of rooms to sleep, but only one bathroom as stated. Be prepared for the long steps to and from the driveway . Stayed during a very hot weekend, no a/c, but cooling fans. Struggled through the heat during the day 90’s, looked forward to the cooler evenings. Loved the layout of the space, especially the bridge that you cross between bedrooms. But other than that, we would have enjoyed it more if we had cooler temperatures or a/c installed. Foosball table need repairs or replaced.

Thank you for such a thoughtful and balanced review. It's great to hear the remodel kept that cabin character intact, and that the layout won you over, especially the bridge between the bedrooms, which is a favorite feature of the home. We completely understand how the daytime heat made things tougher during your stay, and your note about cooling has been passed along to our team, along with your feedback on the foosball table. It sounds like the cooler evenings offered a nice reprieve, and we hope the space and setting still made for a memorable weekend. We'd love the chance to host you again.
