I don’t think it’s possible to have a more attentive host. Robbie got back to me quickly and so politely each time I reached out. The loft itself was lovely and clean; we truly got to experience Detroit, along with the fun amenities like a record player and dart board, which were both new to our children. We had fun exploring the impressive art offered throughout the building, too. Thank you for enhancing our fantastic Detroit experience!
Quite the adventure. I searched for a 2 bedroom 2 bath and this ad came up. On the first page of the listing it showed 2 bedrooms 2 baths sleeps 5-great! Our group included 4 adults. When we entered we found that the second bedroom was a blow up air mattress that you lay out in the living room and the 2nd bath had only a toilet and sink. So two 60 year olds had to blow up a mattress and sleep on the floor like small kids. Also, 2 adults shared a sink for a bath. An adventure for the start. The host was very helpful, but the ad misleading. After a further look into the ad it did explain the listing much better than the initial page that comes up, that’s on me. Also the buildings other tenants were very loud deep into the night. We should have been weary when a van outside had a paint job saying, “The Dope Spot.” By the smell permeating though out the building I’d say the do good business. Not the hosts fault. We got by fine and had a good 4 days.

Tim, this is a diverse community, and the people who live here deserve respect. A vehicle’s wording is not evidence of drug activity. Using it to insinuate that residents are dealing drugs is an unsupported and stigmatizing accusation, which I firmly reject.
Your own review acknowledges that the full description explained the accommodations and that overlooking it was your responsibility. Check-in instructions were also provided; failing to read them does not mean they were never sent.
You completed your stay and requested a refund afterward. Being denied that refund does not justify disparaging this community. For future reference, take responsibility for reading the information provided and distinguish what you can substantiate from what you assume.
We enjoyed our stay at this historic loft. The decor is cute and the apartment was clean and had all the amenities we needed. The location was good- close to many restaurants and downtown. We had good Mexican food at Armando’s and visited Michigan Central nearby.
