The retreat was excellent. The house was beautiful and well maintained, only slight problem was sometimes the water would get cold while showering but other than that the place was decent we liked it. Our only great fear was the living room had no shades or curtains but we adapted to it. The team was excellent with communication.
Overall, we had a great stay and really enjoyed the property!A few suggestions that might help future guests:* Unless I overlooked it, I didn’t see anything in the listing about the two air conditioning units. I spent the ride up worried I’d be sweating all weekend, so it was a very pleasant surprise to discover one a/c unit in the living room and another in the master bedroom. Mentioning them in the listing would definitely put guests’ minds at ease.* The center burners on the grill weren’t working.* The back door slams shut very loudly.* There wasn’t a welcome book or information packet when we arrived. It would have been helpful to have instructions for things for checkout procedures, trash, and other house information. Because we weren’t sure what was expected when leaving, we stripped the beds, cleaned up thoroughly, and left the house immaculate, but weren’t sure if there was anything else we should have done.* The kitchen was stocked with the basics, but there weren’t many extra supplies like plastic storage bags or additional paper towels. The highlights:* The setting is incredible—complete privacy surrounded by the forest, which is exactly what we were looking for.* We appreciated the bear/wildlife deterrent devices around the property.* The house is spacious and has a really unique, cool feel.* The newly renovated master bathroom is beautiful.* The leather sofas were exceptionally comfortable.Overall, we’d absolutely stay here again!
