Boasting the best modern cabin vibes both inside and out, this stylish retreat is more than ready to assist in making mountain memories to last a lifetime! Sitting right on the bank of Lake Rescue, there will be no delay in summer fun with a private dock, kayaks, paddleboards, and more to really soak up the lakeside lifestyle. Come winter, the skiers of the group will absolutely fall in love with this location as well, as Okemo Mountain Resort is just four miles south offering a wide array of ski runs for all experience levels and Killington is 17 miles north. Downtown Ludlow is also near the mountain where you can stock up on groceries, grab a bite to eat from a local restaurant, or pop into shops to snag a souvenir.
Though the exterior will charm even the most design-oriented of guests, step inside and you will immediately be greeted by the rustic exposed ceilings, homey hardwood floors, and mountain decor that will allow everyone to feel welcome and relaxed in no time. Not to mention, the well-equipped, full kitchen complete with a gas range, beautiful white countertops, and all of the appliances needed to whip up tasty meals will be the perfect touch to make this an ideal home away from home. After a full day of skiing in winter or kayaking in summer, everyone will love gathering for a movie night in the living room or stepping out to the back deck to watch the sunset with a favorite cocktail in hand. With four bedrooms and two baths, this place is well-suited for two couples or a large family. Please note the top bunks and pull out beds are intended to comfortably accommodate children. The home also has a dedicated office and a desk set up in each bedroom, making it ideal for remote learning or work.
Please note: the waterfront dock features approximately 60 steep steps to access which may be strenuous for some guests.

Family Vacation
We absolutely loved the cozy cabin for our weekend getaway. I loved the kayaks and outdoor patio area. Our family appreciated the high end bedding. It make for a great nights rest!
Two families stayed for a ski trip to okemo. Proximity to the mountain was a big plus for us. The cabin is cozy.

Ludlow Retreat
We had a great vacation at this Ludlow home. It was very clean and we enjoyed being right on the water with plenty of kayaks available. The drive up to the home was a bit steep, but worth the lake view once you get there.

Great spot
The house is a good as it looks. Comfy beds, great kitchen, and luxury shower heads at good heights for tall people. Being able to jump in the lake was a real treat and the location is nice because you’re close to everything. Highly recommend!
Beautiful views from the top of lake rescue. Very cute cabin, perfect for family to get away. It was a huge plus that they allowed dogs! Communal living spaces could have been cleaner, bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean. Would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful lake house, organized and charming. Quiet side street location but minutes to Okemo and state parks for hiking and the dogs. We absolutely loved it.
Very scenic lakefront home that was great for our family. It was the off season (early November) so the dock wasn’t on the water but the views were beautiful and the home was very cozy. Convenient to Ludlow shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect stay at Lake Rescue
This house was perfect for the 5 of us. We cooked all of our meals here and since we were on the water we never needed to leave the property. The house has everything we needed. The kayaks and paddle boards were awesome to have right there. Such a beautiful spot on Lake Rescue!
A majestic property right on the water. We kayaked and fished all day. We couldn't have picked a nicer place, it was everything we wanted and more.
Thank You!

Fun October 6-9 weekend getaway
The house was lovely and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the kayaks and fire pit (bring your own firewood). We couldn’t use the deck because it was dirty and the furniture was soaked. The lake was beautiful. Wish the dock had not been pulled out for the winter yet. Overall we really enjoyed the house. Thank you!

It is what it is
We've been renting vacation homes for 25 years now, and it's safe to say that this little house is not in our top-25 list of favorite properties. It has some redeeming features, to be fair, and the photographer has obviously done an outstanding job, but it may really be more charming as a summer destination when the weather is fine and living is easy.

My family really enjoyed this Lake House. The beautiful views of the lake were breathtaking. The house had everything we needed for preparing meals. The kitchen was functional and generally well equipped. The beds in the house were particularly comfortable. We enjoyed early morning coffee on the deck with perfect views of the lake. The location was great. Lots of wonderful hiking trials in close proximity. My only suggestion to the owners is to give the house a good deep cleaning. Nonetheless, this is an exceptional house.
Overall very good. Had a wonderful weekend. When I asked the rental company a couple questions I got inaccurate information. I asked if there were life vests on the property, they said no but there were. One of the paddleboards was deflated so unable to use it. There were 2 others. A toilet paper hilder was broken off the wall. One in our group said the comforter was dirty. These were minor issues. Location was great. Lake was beautiful. House was very nice.

We just concluded an incredible weekend away at this property and are already planning to return! The home was perfect for our group of friends, with ample bedrooms (each with its own TV, a surprise to us!), two full bathrooms, comfortable living and dining areas, a well-stocked kitchen, and sprawling outdoor space. We felt cozy without being on top of each other. The town itself is cute and we had fun exploring, especially the farmer's market downtown, but we were absolutely taken with the water views and private dock and spent most of our time at home. Being able to step outside first thing int he morning and have coffee on the water, or take a quick dip in the lake on a whim, was incredible. We also loved the aesthetic of the house. It was beautiful without feeling sanitized— we loved many of the modern touches, but appreciated that they kept elements from the original home. So many of the details felt deliberately thoughtful, which was so appreciated.

No yard
The stairs down to the water were very long and steep. Some of our guests couldn't go down to the water. There was no yard. The fire pit is basically in the parking area. There was garbage all over the yard, likely from raccoons. The house looked clean on the inside but there was garbage and socks under the couch.

The home is as described with plenty of space for my family of 5. The kitchen was well stocked, and the bathrooms were clean. Plenty of towels and the beds were firm with clean sheets. The views of Lake Rescue were beautiful. The driveway was snow-covered, but with a 4WD, you should have no issue. The 'commute' to Okemo was easy - 8min max. The house seems to have been empty, so a musty smell permeated the home for the first day until the air circulated a few times. Not a big deal. The gas fireplace in the living room is a nice touch and warmed up the home quickly. Only knock was the cob webs in the upper corners of most rooms (the host fee included a 250 cleaning fee, so owner take notice, you are not getting your money's worth).

This is the second consecutive year our group stayed at this house. It’s a great house that comfortable sleeps 2 families of 4. The lake is the big draw. The dock was improved this year and was larger than last year which was appreciated. The use of kayaks and paddle boards is wonderful. The one issue we had was that the outside trash can was knocked over (raccoon), leaving a mess for us to clean up upon arrival. The raccoon returned at 2am to knock it over again. Luckily, I had a bungee cord that was able to secure the lid for the rest of our weekend. It would’ve been nice for the property manager to have taken care of the trash situation in a more effective manner.
