Caffeine lovers will enjoy our deluxe coffee maker, which conveniently brews either a full, large pot or a single Keurig cup. For hot meals, step outside to enjoy the country air and fire up the provided outdoor charcoal BBQ grill!

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS:
When you stay at The River Wrangler, you are perfectly positioned in a quiet, rural neighborhood that sits right in the center of the region's absolute best hotspots. Below is a guide to help you plan your itinerary:

The Horseshoe Loop / Guadalupe River Tubing (10 minutes): Located just minutes away! This is Texas’ most famous river tubing destination. Bring your tubes (inflated right in our garage) and spend the day drifting down the limestone bluffs. Or leave your tubes at home and let one of the several local vendors provide you a tube and a ride back to your car.

Whitewater Amphitheater (10 minutes): Known as the premier outdoor live music venue in Texas. Avoid the hassle of distant hotels; stay just minutes from the venue and head straight back to our ice-cold AC after the encore.

Canyon Lake & Marina (17+ minutes): Just a short drive to pristine blue waters. Perfect for boat rentals, jet skiing, paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming, and lakeside picnics at the local parks.

Historic Gruene & Gruene Hall (17 minutes): Take a short, scenic drive to Texas' oldest continually operating dance hall. Enjoy world-class live country music, famous Texas chicken-fried steak at the Gristmill, and fantastic antique shopping.

New Braunfels & Schlitterbahn (23 minutes): Looking for a day trip? We are a quick drive down the road from downtown New Braunfels, the Comal River tube chutes, and Schlitterbahn Waterpark—the world's best waterpark.

Wimberley (20 minutes): Take a beautiful, scenic 20-minute drive to one of Texas' most beloved day-trip destinations. Explore the famous boutique shops at Wimberley Square, swim in the crystal-clear waters of the iconic Blue Hole Regional Park, or hunt for treasures at Wimberley Market Days. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing afternoon of local art, culture, and great food!

Wurstfest (26 minutes) : Visiting in November? Our guest house is an excellent, peaceful alternative to crowded downtown hotels for the annual ten-day salute to German culture and sausage.

Guadalupe River Fly Fishing: Did you know the Guadalupe River below Canyon Lake is the southernmost trout fishery in the United States? We are ideally located for anglers looking to target rainbow and brown trout or Texas hill country bass.

Texas Wine Country & Craft Beverage Trail: Wine lovers rejoice! You are perfectly positioned to explore the renowned Texas Hill Country wine region. Take a beautiful drive down nearby Devil's Backbone to tour the boutique vineyards, tasting rooms, and scenic wineries scattered between Canyon Lake, Wimberley, and Fredericksburg. If craft beera or local spirits are more your style, you are just minutes away from incredible local spots like Canyon Lake Brewery, Real Ale Brewing Company, and hidden-gem Hill Country distilleries.
