Compared with a downtown Boston hotel as a base for exploring the city, this property wins hands down. No contest! The MBTA is about three minutes away, with parking at the station, CVS and Dunkin are just around the corner, and you wake up to the beach directly across the street. We were greeted by an evidently resident bunny rabbit, a charming introduction to this pretty, relatively low-density North Quincy neighborhood. There are plenty of supermarkets, shopping options, and many, many Dunkin locations. No danger of a coffee shortage here! You get a different take on Boston: convenient access to the city while staying in a real neighborhood with its own appeal.Wollaston Beach may not be the finest in the area, but it is perfectly fine, and having it across the street is a treat. North Quincy is an ideal place to post up for excursions into Boston or trips to fancier beaches like Nantasket. The apartment is modern and tastefully decorated, with two nice bedrooms, three excellent beds, and plenty of room to spread out. The host is super attentive, which makes an already appealing property even better. The porch overlooking the beach is a highlight: perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails after a day of running around. Having that space to unwind adds something a downtown hotel just cannot offer in quite the same way. City access, beach views, neighborhood charm, and a comfortable apartment. A winning combination!
